Milton Baths

Hey! My baby is 8 months and we’ve been through all the creams, steroids everything! She was on antibiotics for it last week and it cleared up so good but unfortunately it was short lived for the time she was on antibiotics :( Mums at work recommended Milton baths, is that still a thing, is it safe for an 8 month old, does it work? honestly it’s like blisters on her back just makes me want to cry for her 😭

She is a specialist in eczema too and the page has lots of similar Drs offering free advice which would help your query!

We asked our paediatrician as my boy's eczema would only settle with fusidic acid if broken/ weeping (then golden crust ie impetigo). We've also had oral twice and the second round gave him really bad diarrhoea. Our paediatrician did not recommend it as it'll dry their skin and he's happy fusidic acid is working. He said they can also develop tolerance to antiseptic wash and potentially making it harder to treat. If you have a paediatrician can you seek advice from them? They just recommended cleaning the area with cool boiled water. Fusidic acid definitely is the only thing that works for us, steroid alone will make it worse
