@Katie my daughter has a dietician and paediatrician for her allergies, my question refers to Milton baths for her eczema but thank you
She is a specialist in eczema too and the page has lots of similar Drs offering free advice which would help your query!
We asked our paediatrician as my boy's eczema would only settle with fusidic acid if broken/ weeping (then golden crust ie impetigo). We've also had oral twice and the second round gave him really bad diarrhoea. Our paediatrician did not recommend it as it'll dry their skin and he's happy fusidic acid is working. He said they can also develop tolerance to antiseptic wash and potentially making it harder to treat. If you have a paediatrician can you seek advice from them? They just recommended cleaning the area with cool boiled water. Fusidic acid definitely is the only thing that works for us, steroid alone will make it worse
I’d suggest joining Allergy Support with Dr Helen Allergy on Facebook.
