Does this look normal

I’m on aptamil pepti 1 for a potential milk allergy because my little boy is constipated, went 6 days without opening he’s bowels, only opened them because he had movicol! I personally don’t think he has a milk allergy because the only symptom he has is the constipation which hasn’t improved with this milk like the paediatrician said it would..

Constipation and crying in pain were the main symptoms for our little boy and he only got better when he went onto Neocate as that contains no dairy at all

@Kayleigh oh wow really how did you get that milk? Did you try any before

We tried Pepti 1 and it was awful, then my LO was on Neocate for 4 weeks and it also made him quite constipated, throwing up after every feed and in all honesty, I wouldn’t recommend. Ask your GP to try SMA Alfamino.

We were on SMA Althera before Neocate, then when he wasn't seeing an improvement in symptoms or weight gain we got changed to Neocate

It’s so hard because there’s 5 different milks😪 going to ring the doctors Monday and email the paediatrician see what they say

Majority of them contain coconut which baby could be allergic to. SMA Alfamino is the only one that doesn’t. Also, constipation is a sign of CMPA. How long has baby been on Pepti for?

@Jennifer oh really? I didn’t know that, he’s been on it 2 weeks today

Yeah, it’s weird but yes they contain coconut. I’d try SMA Alfamino and see if it makes a difference, if it does it could then be the coconut x
