There’s a doctor on site that charges £120 to be seen
How old? If a baby I would seek medical advice always, if it’s a child tepid water in the shower or bath was what my parents used to have to do for me and it always helped (I got very high fevers a lot when I was a child)
I think with a young child, you'll just need to pay the fee. Better to be safe than sorry. Can you recoup the charge via your holiday insurance? Make sure you get receipts.
I would pay that if my child had a temp of 40+ x
Apparently then they have sunstroke temperature of 40 is normal ?x
He’s 2 @Tess
Is he unwell in himself too or is it just the temp? If he’s unwell For peace of mind I would see someone, maybe see where the nearest urgent care is? Or pay for the person in the hotel. If he seems well in himself maybe just keep an eye? How long has he had it? The tepid water (Luke warm) water trick does work but he may be a bit young to be happy to do that x
He is fine in him self , still playing etc… drinking lots of water. It’s just the temperature.
Personally if mine was fine I think I would monitor it, but you’ve got to do what you think is right for him, if you’re concerned then maybe find the nearest urgent care or something x
I wouldn’t pay for the doctor as he’s fine in himself, just watch him very closely and stay out the sun, have you got calpol
Take him to the room, put the air con on and see if he just needs cooling down. That is a high temp though. How was he in the end just seen this was a few days ago now?
It was his teeth in the end ! Which is a relief ! Xx
