Went for an early private scan yesterday to see how everything is going. Going by my last period I should be 7+2, however baby was only measuring 6+3! I know it can be normal to measure behind as I don't track ovulation however I tested positive very early (4 days before my period) and symptoms started from when I thought I was 6 weeks. Makes me very worried that baby isn't growing as they should be š. We did see a little heartbeat flickering away

Learn more about our guidelines.Scans this early you can measure behind. It's why the NHS don't like doing scans this early. With my first I had loads of issues with growth. At 12 weeks she was measuring on time. Same at 20 weeks. By the 3rd trimester when they start measuring your bumb I was measuring about 4 weeks behind. She was born on the 9th centile after measuring on the 8th at a scan 4 days before she was born. They don't worry about size and measurements till a LOT later. You're 12 week scan will give you the proper dates
One of my twins was measuring 2 weeks behind from around 16 weeks till around 21 weeks, he wasn't even on the growth chart but he did catch up a bit and ended up being a 0.4th percentile baby, he's 1 now and still small
Please try not to worry ā¤ļø I had 2 private early scans (I was anxious due to years of infertility) one at around 7 weeks where i measured 5/6 days behind, one at 9 weeks where i measured 4/5 days ahead. Then my 12 week NHS scan was perfect and gave me a due date that I expected. They're so little I think it's just inaccurate at this stage.
You saw your baby's heartbeat!
Try not to worry too much, at this stage they are measuring in millimetres and there is so much room for error. At my early scan I was measuring 3 days behind then at the dating scan I ended up measuring 3 days ahead š¤·āāļø so I made up 6 days somewhere
Thatās normal. I was measuring behind at my first reassurance scan and every scan since heās jumped ahead by 4 days each time š¤£
They told I am 4 days behind as well, but this canāt be accurate until 12 weeks. I also tested positive before my period was due. I tracked my ovulation etc , I am not worried because I know that we can get pregnant also few days after sex because it depends when we ovulate. Donāt worry too much , itās just few days behind which is not too much
I had this with my daughter at the same exact dates and shes now a healthy happy 4 year old, donāt panicš©·
