I know it's the terrible 2s and all that, but literally EVERYTHING has become a battle. I have to pin her to the floor to brush her teeth, she has eczema, so I have to do her skincare routine twice a day and that usually ends up with me bruised and dejected and her screaming and flailing at me. When will it end??? I am so burnt out, my husband is great and helps where he can, but I'm still left with the lion's share of the hatred she has for doing what we want her to do!
Nursery say that she's great and always very well behaved, feels like she saves it all up for me!

Learn more about our guidelines. They’re always more challenging for mum - something about them being most secure and safe with us which makes sense. It is hard work now though for sure!! Exhausting!
As Chelsea said, they are always more challenging for mum.
My little girl gets eczema too, and it's also a battle. I've found putting cream on her hand for her to rub in (normally on her tummy where it doesn't need to go) helps, whilst I do the other parts.
It is so hard. You’re not alone ❤️
Theyre worse with us because we are their safe space and they know innately that our love is unconditional, it's a special privilege reserved for mums 😅 theyre not like with anyone else not even dads, it's both wonderful and an absolute nightmare 😭x
@Jade I do the same. My daughter disliked it but now she rubs it into her tummy for me and helps she’s much happier having it done
I feel this, so so much!! Hair brushing, teeth brushing, toe nail cutting .. argh!!!!
