Did anyone have more than 1 child diagnosed with autism? I have a 6 year old that was diagnosed but my 3 year old son is following the same pattern and I believe he is stimming 😔 he’s not diagnosed but he is speech delayed and when he gets upset he starts flapping his hands to his stomach up and down it looks like he’s trying to get something off his shirt ..

BOTH MY BABIES ARE AUTISTIC
ONE OF DIAGNOSED
MY YOUNGEST HAS I'VE BEEN TOLD BY A DOC THAT HE 100% IS
REMINDER IT'S GENETIC SO GET YOURSELF AND YOU BABY DADDY/PARTNER TESTED CAUSE ONE OR BOTH OF YOU ARE CARRYING THE GENE
Yep, I have a 5 year old, a 2 year old and a 3 month old. My 5 year old was diagnosed at 3 with autism and was diagnosed at 4 with adhd. My 2 year old was just diagnosed with autism and is showing signs of adhd. I plan on getting my 3 month old tested when she is 2. It’s possible that your son has it as more and more signs are showing that autism is genetic but just because your older child has it doesn’t necessarily mean your son has it. But…I would have your son tested just in case.
Me an autistic person had 2 kids and both are autistic.
@Gabby that’s what I’m thinking and I’m following your path with close ages and he is in the same time frame my daughter was when she was diagnosed
I have a 5 yo daughter and artist 2yo son. They will be 6 and 3 this year both diagnosed with Autism. My son started hard core stimming at 6mo. He would spin one of his toys, get real stiff and flap his hands. He still does it. His major interests are Abcs and numbers. It's difficult for sure. Get him tested early intervention is key.
My two younger kids are both autistic. 9 years old and 2 years old. They presented differently, like way differently, so it was alot of "hmm could it be autism" even though we were pretty sure it was.
I’m diagnosed with autism and 1 of my 2 sisters also has autism. I also have a stepson with autism and his half brother (my biological son) is in the process of being diagnosed. I think there has to be a genetic component
My 1st has adhd my 2nd has autism my 3rd is showing signs and my 4th is showing signs (shes having delayed development not rolling over not sitting unassisted only says Dada occasionally) im also autistic so it just makes it more likely for them to be
