@Jessica this is an option, but without a job or money, she can't maintain the home or pay bills.
First, I’m so sorry you’re going through this especially while pregnant. It’s okay to lean on your parents for now; that’s a safe space to start rebuilding. You can get back on your feet, even if it feels impossible right now. Look into local programs for moms WIC, TANF, Medicaid, and housing assistance. Some areas even offer free transportation or childcare support. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure everything out all at once. One step at a time your babies have a strong mama. Keep going.
Go home to your family and lean on your support. He has full control so that you can be asking yourself what you're asking right now. Just let him have the house and you leave to safety for you and your babies. Any man that would do that is not safe. You can find a job, you can get childcare assistance, you can get WIC and SNAP because you're pregnant and have children, you can get cash assistance as well. Don't feel like you're stuck! You have options. And then take his ass to court
@Monét it’s not for her to maintain, it’s on him. That’s what the attorney will make sure of.
@Jessica in which country? lol. She can't afford a lawyer and if she got the house back, she's now responsible for it. lol I've been there
@Jessica but is this legally with a husband or legally with a child’s biological father?
If your name isn’t on the lease etc, he has full power. Go back to your family and lean on them for support for now. I don’t know where you are but surely there’s someone you can contact about what sort of help you can get?
Honestly I think you should go to your parents... I wish I had that option... if you move back with your parents there are resources that you can get and if you get snap they usually will help with housing
You call the police and get back into the house, that’s your main home and he cannot make you homeless legally. Then you contact an attorney, which he will pay for because you made the decision together that he would help you financially, and come up with a plan with the attorney on how to move forward.
