He’s 3, he barely wees on it he crys and asks for his nappy back on, he’d rather walk round clenching his bum than sit down and do a poo, why is this?? Most the time he’s happy to wee on the potty but pooing is a no go, even offered him to sit on the toilet, or put the potty next to the toilet and I’ll have a poo at the same time he wants nothing to do with it. I’m not sure what I can do! He just says “ give me my nappy and I do poo in there” like noo sir we need to do it on the potty please 😭

Do you both have boys? Maybe it’s a boy thing😒😂 my daughter goes straight on and she’s 1 lol x
My daughter won't use the potty too! We tried and tried but nothing... 😭😭😭
I have a boy his 3 end of May and he sometimes will use the toilet as we got one of them he can climb up on and will do wees but it's not continously and his only ever done 2 poos on the toilet and doesn't seem interested
yes! and he wont go near it, hoping my daughter will be different lol x
My little girl was refusing poops on the potty too but fine with wees, we have come out of it now and she wants everyone to see her poops. We did a combination of stuff, let her run around naked waist down, especially when we knew she was due one (she just kept holding), we had a potty and toilet seat to see what she preferred, we had a sticker reward chart...some miracle it just happened and every time she did there were big, big celebrations and praise. It is so unbelievably frustrating, sending my support, just hold strong Mama, it will eventually happen.
A weird thing my son did at first when he started pooing on the toilet was standing up on the seat! He's stopped now but I think that got him started for some strange reason 😂
My son would scream bloody murder when we’d ask him to have a poo on his potty. We got the steps for the toilet, and if he mentioned the poo word, we’d sit him on and give him the tablet. We’d encourage him to do his business, and reward the shit out of him when he’d done one. Talking all the sweets and chocolates he wanted 🤣
Took about 3 days but it worked!
Same my daughter will wee in the potty everyday she don't even wear nappies in bed nomore but will not poo on that potty she would rather poo in her pants Instead of using it I really don't understand y 🤣
Have you tried the Pooland app, that really helped my LO. It’s a story about letting go of poo on the toilet and sending him to pooland with his mum and dad. My LO got excited to have a poo and mastered this before the wee. We made it to a huge event everytime he went. He did have a bout of constipation in the beginning but with a few days of lactulose, he was able to go easier and this helped too.
