My daughter has her jabs tomorrow and I’m sat here getting myself so upset she is gonna get hurt and go from her happy self. Any recommendations? My partner is taking her as I physically cannot do it

Learn more about our guidelines. My little girl had them on Thursday and I was fully expecting/prepared for her to be poorly and upset and off her food etc. She screamed when she had the injections and then stopped immediately once they were done. We gave her calpol straight after them and then she literally slept all day (appointment was 10am) waking regularly to feed and by 8pm she was wide awake smiling at us. We were amazed! She had a bit of a temperature but the 3 doses of calpol sorted that. Fingers crossed for you that it’s a smooth ride for your little one too 🤞🏻
My little girl is due her 8 weeks jabs on Friday x
I agree with the other comments! Thankfully it was so much better than we expected. Like the others said, keep up with the 3 doses of calpol and lots of cuddles! The only thing that changed for us was my daughter slept much more than normal and cried a little bit more, but as soon as we gave her a bottle she stopped crying and would fall back asleep. Good luck!! x
My little girl had hers 2 weeks ago, she did scream at the time but otherwise she was ok , she got a little hot but slept most of the next day but she was fine after 24 hours
they honestly get over it all really quickly! just make sure you stay on top of the calpol and keep a good eye on her. any weird movements or high fevers after calpol and make sure you get her checked. unfortunately my son got very very poorly after his, but it’s not normal for babies to be sick after. they’re normally just quite sleepy x
Quick scream and then they stop! It’s definitely worse just thinking about it rather than the actual thing ♥️
