I'm exclusively breastfeeding, my little one is starting to sleep longer stretches at night. Should I be expressing still if little one doesn't wake up every 3 hours at night? Worried my milk supply is going to drop if I don't. What are your experiences?

I read you should hand express just enough to relieve any discomfort you might feel and your milk supply will adapt to the needs of your baby
I haven’t.. I did start to do a single pump right before bed though, then try to breastfeed throughout the night on demand.
I didn’t. I enjoyed/enjoy my sleep. I wake up with full breasts and pump on one side as baby feeds from the other. Been doing it for around 11 weeks now and no issues with supply or engorgement. My baby is now 18 weeks
If your little one feeds less, your supply will drop, if they feed more, your supply will increase! There’s no need to pump unless you want to have milk stored, but pumping will increase your supply and you’ll be at risk of clogged ducts if you don’t keep up with the pumping. Your supply will always adapt to the amount baby needs, you might wake up feeling engorged for a little while as your supply regulates to the change. If it’s particularly uncomfortable or baby is struggling to latch you can hand express just enough to be comfortable/allow baby to latch
Thanks ladies, i'll enjoy the extra sleep 🙌
