Our little boy has been ill with a cold/cough since end of March. It’s been on and off but the cough in particular has stayed. He’s been given an inhaler but we are struggling to give it to him. He screams to the point where he’s not breathing and hits it away. It’s horrible. He coughs a lot in the night (sometimes for an hour) so I have to get up and give it to him. It ends up being pointless as he doesn’t even have it and then ends up being awake for ages! Leading to him being overtired and not napping the next day and repeat. What the heck can we do?!
Any tips on how to give him his inhaler?
My partner called the gp to ask for some advice as pharmacist wouldn’t and they just said ‘it’s YOUR job to administer it and make sure he has it’ we get that but we just need some help. Anyone?!
