Hi. I was wondering what birth control you guys recommend. I don’t want anymore children, I have just gotten my period a month after giving birth. I don’t want to have the iud. Was thinking of going on the birth control patch but was wondering if you have to pay for the birth control patch every week? Any thoughts would be great!

Learn more about our guidelines.I’ve been put on mini pill. It’s only short term as I’m waiting for appointment to get the coil put back in.
I am having this quandary at the moment.
I am extremely sensitive to artificial hormones so had the copper coil pre pregnancy, but it migrated and I had to get it removed, I was planning on starting my family at that point anyway and knew it could take a while because of my PCOS so didn't use anything after they retrieved it 🙃
Having the coil rejected before and the pain associated has really put me off, but all the other options ive tried send me loopy. The year of no contraception was probably the best I've felt 🙃
I had a bit of an awkward birth, I was very poorly with PET, I absolutely don't want to go through all this again so considering more permanent options at the moment like my tubes tied or suggesting hubby goes for the snip ...
Do not know anyone who has gone through it to ask advice and opinions though
I’ve been taking rigevidon for about 10-13 years. Always agreed really well with me. I fell pregnant straight away when coming off of it. I’m 6 weeks PP and waiting to get back on the pill again xx
I don’t agree with any form of contraception, sends me wild. My husband is going to get the snip once I decide that there will be no more children xx
@Samantha I’m the same but my partner doesn’t want the snip. But I don’t want to end up pregnant again ☹️
@Tori that’s a shame, as we are the ones to have taken contraception for many years. What is his reason? X
@Samantha I’m not sure. I think it’s because we aren’t married and if it doesn’t work out with me then he can get someone else pregnant is the what I think is the reason for it. I don’t want to go on birth control but because I’m only 23 years old they won’t sterilise me.
@Tori okay yes perhaps an age factor. My husband and I are quite a bit older than you, so it makes sense for us. Perhaps birth control for a while and revisit at a later date? You also might change your mind on wanting children later. X
