Learn more about our guidelines.I found the Ella’s kitchen “the first foods book” a good read. I’ve just started with purées boiled veg and blended them. This is good for if you feel LO isn’t quite ready for solids- I found mine would gag less with purées rather than solids so for peace of mind we’re doing that for now 😂 For when I’m out and about I use the ready made food pouches. It’s just about getting them used to different textures and flavours - “food is for fun till 1 “their main source of nutrition is still formula or breast milk till then. Hope this helps 🙂
We did a week or so of purées because my twins just didn’t have coordination to self feed and we wanted to get allergens introduced asap as they both have a milk allergy but we’re now in the full throws of BLW.
They generally have the same as us for dinner (spag Bol, chilli etc) and breakfast tends to be things like toast, crumpets, porridge, fruit, yoghurt
@Ceri-Ann how old are your twins? I have completely forgotten what I did with my girl. I’m still giving my boy purées.
@Adelaide they’re 7 months now. We did BLW with my daughter from day 1, the whole spoon feeding is just far too much work especially when there’s 2 😂
Lots of veggies ,courgette ,potato chicken . Only pure at the moment . He’s 6
