My little girl has always been a bit patchy with her sleep but since she turned 1, she started sleeping through and we had a really good spell for months. The past few months she is waking up once every single night, all she wants is somebody sat by her cot, singing and patting her bum until she falls back to sleep.
Why is she waking once every single night? We’ve given her a comforter, made bedtime later/earlier and nothing works. She wakes up at 6am every day, I wouldn’t have a problem with this if she slept through.

Learn more about our guidelines.Sounds like separation anxiety and is very normal. It’s also very normal for them to wake through the night for a long time to come unfortunately. Sleep isn’t linear. As adults we wake through the night for a drink, to cuddle our partner, because a noise disturbed us etc.
We’re still up anywhere from 2-6+ times a night x
Does your daughter use a sleeping bag? In the past few weeks we've changed to a duvet and a pillow and it's honestly revolutionised her sleep. When she was in her bag she'd still wake up maybe once or twice or even end up in our bed as we were just too tired.
Now she's sleeping right the way through, only time she's waking up is if she's lost her dummy! I think the sleeping bag was starting to get to restrictive for her because when we check the camera in the middle of the night she's none stop moving!
