My LO is 6months and 3 weeks and we have been exclusive breastmilk, was planning on continuing until she's 12 months, but the struggle is real. She has started solids, BlW but she hardly gets enough in because she would rather help herself than be fed.
Considering complementing with formula, just not sure what the effect of it will be on her and her appetite (she loves breastmilk sooo much)
My supply isn't like before and her demand is higher. Is anyone combo feeding, if so how are you doing it?
Please help this thing has been given me headache. š„²

Iām sorry if I didnāt help š just showing support
Hey momma ! So my baby was exclusively breastfeeding until 4 months I introduced formula since I was going back to work when he was 5 months. It was very hard for him to take bottle, took about 2 weeks for him to get used to. He only likes pigeon and Lansinoh bottles because of the nipple is very soft like the breast. Rn he only drinks breast milk at night til in the morning at 6am.
Itās all on how you wanna feed her. Iāve seen moms mixed the bottles too, like half breast milk and formula.
Thank you
My baby loves eating everything lol - milk, formula, solids, so it's been easy to introduce things. For now, solids are slowly increased but she still drinks the same amount of milk. She also gets formula when I feel depleted or want to pump instead, usually right before bed when she's starving and I'm exhausted. Formula is less dense than breast milk so she may take up to 7 oz when she only takes about 4oz breast milk. She does spit up a bit more with formula but it could partly be the bottle. Babies are great at rejecting things if it doesn't work with their digestion so give different things a try!
