Has anyone had bleeding around 18 weeks and been okay? It started yesterday afternoon with more of a gush of bright red blood, but then slowed and is now more of a light blood trickle.
Currently at the hospital and they can’t tell if it’s my water or not, so are keeping me in to monitor. They tested to check waters but because there was blood on the test the midwives said there’s a good chance it a false positive. I don’t know if I’m going to lose this baby or not and because it’s a BH I can’t be scanned until Tuesday at the earliest. So just looking for any similar experiences 🙏🏻 thank you.

But it wasn’t like a period or anything like that. Just when I wiped it was full of blood. My baby is currently 6 weeks old.
Thank you for responding @Jennifer💕 it’s such a scary time 😩 the unknown is killing me. Did they get to the bottom of your bright red blood? Glad your little one is here safely 🥰
Hi this happened to me with my first pregnancy! I woke up with a puddle of blood around me in the bed and ran to the toilet and a large clot came out. I truly thought I miscarried. Went to the hospital and it turned out baby was fine and healthy, I had a subchorionic hematoma that healed on its own! I have an almost 3 year old boy now :) and currently 32 weeks pregnant with a girl. Praying all is well with you 🙏
Thank you for sharing that @Kotah 💕 how far were you when that happened? Such a scary time isn’t it! You instantly just think the worst. I’ve been reading into those but I guess won’t find out until I have a scan next week 😬 the waits killing me. So glad your little family is well 💕
I was actually 18 weeks as well when I bled! Can the hospital do a scan to check? I immediately went to the ER and they were able to tell me right away that it was a subchorionic hematoma. Next week is such a long wait, hopefully you can get answers sooner 🩷
Oh interesting! Hopefully it’s something similar! So I went straight to triage in the maternity ward and they said the earliest they can do a scan is Tuesday/wednesday 😬 I guess they don’t work over the weekend/bank holiday. But they’re keeping me in for monitoring incase it was my waters. I assumed a scan would be the first thing they’d do though. They did do a little portable bedside scan to see baby initially and it’s fluid, but not one detailed enough to see/find a cause of the bleeding. Thank you so much for your response @Kotah, it means a lot 💕
