Due date has very little to do with when you give birth, it's just an estimate. Statistically, 5% of women give birth on their due date but even when they don't it doesn't make it "wrong" because it's not an absolute, just an estimate. My EDD from dating scan was wrong in a sense that put me in the realm of immaculate conception (we would have had to have sex 3 days before we did for the EDD to be "correct"). So in that sense my EDD was wrong. But I also gave birth at 42 weeks, which technically doesn't make EDD wrong in any way 🤷🏻♀️
Due date wasn’t wrong I was just early, due date was 2nd June and gave birth 13th may
Love to hear that you’re enjoying the newborn phase more second time round. I’m also looking forward to experiencing the newborn phase this time and knowing what to expect a bit!
@Ellie it’s sooo much better, due to exactly what you said - we know what to expect. Partner and I know what we’re doing now and not just pointing out each other’s mistakes, the cries have a solution, the sleeplessness is expected and planned for and I got the birth I planned. I also know to enjoy the snuggles!
Wishing the same for you! x
still waiting on my baby but my due date was yesterday so can’t complain… yet😂x
Awww this is so lovely to hear, I’m due on Monday with my second and really found the newborn stage so hard with my first, so praying to enjoy it second time round. X
Due date was 05/05/25 and I gave birth via emergency c section 15/05/25. As u can tell my lucky number is 5 😂 this is my first child, but I’m loving the newborn phase. It’s pretty stressful when you’ve done everything you can and they’re still kicking off, but those moments are very rare and usually just consists of being milk drunk and skin to skin which I am in love with 😍
Gave birth to a 11lb 4oz baby. Wondering if she was overcooked and got dates wrong but it was right on my periods, and had my section at 39 weeks 🤣
Due on the 22rd but still pregnant
@Toyosi same!
@Mag how are you doing xx?
I would say my due date was correct, though he came a little early, same as my first. Due 18th May, came 14th May. Second time round is so much better! Newborn with my first was hell on earth for me, so much so I was dreading it more than anything else, even birth, but so far so good. Even with thrush in my boobs from day 1 and feeding being agony, newborn so far has been 100% more manageable!
Due 1st May gave birth 30th April x
