My little boy is 20 days old now and I just feel like heās had such a rough time already! By day 5 he got readmitted into hospital until day 7 as his bilirubin was over the transfusion line so he needed triple light therapy so was prodded with needles the whole weekend and lost 9.9% birth weight. He is still getting weighed every 48 hours until he is back at birth weight. Also day 7 I noticed he had a little lump on his neck under the skin, I asked different midwives they told me not to worry and then 10 days later we woke up and it was big and red so he got put on antibiotics for a boil. We then got sent yesterday to hospital for prolonged jaundice so he had blood taken out both hands and I mentioned his āboilā then we got referred to a bigger hospital and ended up getting admitted last night, they took blood out of his foot and put a cannula in his hand which he pulled out so they decided to leave him for the night instead of poking more needles in him and then cut his cyst open on his neck whilst awake in my arms š just feel like he hasnāt had a break and because we still see midwives every 2 days we arenāt getting the time to adjust to our family of 5 and I feel like Iām constantly having to leave my 2 toddlers for hospital trips which they donāt understand š¢ home time now and fingers crossed this is the last of it š¤š¼

Gosh, that sounds rough. We had a readmission for jaundice, light therapy and too much weight loss too. Can't imagine all the other worries you've had because that was enough for me to be pretty unhinged.
Hope he's on the mend now. Having bigger kids at home makes it so much worse, my 3.5 year old has had a hard time with it too
