Anyone else still feeding baby to sleep for naps? My son is 11 months next week. For bedtime he feeds and then lies down awake and goes to sleep alone fine but for day naps (2 a day) I have to feed him to sleep or he won’t lie down… trying to switch to a bottle for at least 1 nap but not going well atm!
Any thoughts/ advice?
Ps. I have loved this being our routine whilst I’ve been on mat leave and wouldn’t change it 🥰

Learn more about our guidelines.Could have written this myself. We had our 1 year review on Thurs and I never realised that this was a problem until then! 🙈 Little one is 11 months tomorrow, I've been told I need to get rid of the afternoon bottle and morning bottle and then the bedtime one before he's 1... but all three bottle are associated with sleep. Loved the naps during the day when I was on mat leave but now he expects it of the nursery staff and won't sleep without a cuddle and a bottle. (Oops!) With the afternoon bottle I'm going to try my best to totally scrap that, always have his beaker around so I know he's drinking enough water, if he won't settle down without the bottle and its on my day off I'm just going to take him for a stroll, I find he always sleeps when in motion. Womder if that could work with you? So tricky when you've got yourself into a nice routine isn't it! 11 months have gone nowhere! 🙈 💙
Ahh thanks for your response - my son goes to nursery in 2 months so I am lucky I have time still. Pram walks are hit and miss but I might try that for at least 1 nap this week to try at least break the feeding!
