Hi do you know if I can find a GP working on a bank holiday? I’m quite concerned with my 5 month old baby (fever, cough, etc) but not enough to call 111. But I’d like to have her checked tomorrow and not wait Tuesday. Any advice?

Learn more about our guidelines.I would just call 111 and exaggerate her symptoms a bit and see a GP from 111 even today. I was always told with babies things can escalate quickly so if you are worried call 111 you can atleast get a call back from a GP sometimes they even do video calls to see how they are breathing etc until you can see someone
Have a look for your nearest walk in centre or urgent care centre. They’ll be open tomorrow. 111 can actually get you an out of hours appointment with a GP too.
Call 111 hunny, this sounds like enough to call them.
Theresa more than one pathway, they’ve sent us to A&E but they’ve also sent us to GPs at an urgent care centre with an actual appointment so very little waiting time. And one time a GP saw us via video link.
They can always give advice about GPs/services available as well ❤️
Hope she’s better soon xx
Thanks I’ll give them a call
I thought they would only help in case of real emergency
@Mimi no they’re the service you call when it’s not a real emergency to take pressure off 999 for a real one 🥰 only learnt that when I had the triplets as I’d thought the same before lol
I ended up calling 111 and they called me back saying go to the nearest hospital. But as my lo was feeling better (less fever) I decided to wait, and call again the next morning if needed, and she visibly felt better so I didn’t call again.
Thank you all for your advice
