Are your mom friends’ partners friends with your partners?
My husband is only friends with people he works with. When it comes to the partners of my mom friends, he privately critiques them or critiques my mom friends. He’s a big part of the reason my best friend ended our friendship. He’s not controlling and likes me having friends, but he acts so antisocial and grumpy.

My husband is always trying to make friends with the neighbors and catch up with his old buddies from the past. He felt really lonely when we first moved, but he’s really outgoing and putting in an effort now. It’s good for them to do the work to make friends on their own.
Yes but not all of them. Some we have family playdates with, some double dates, some he got their numbers and now they chat also. Not ALL of them, but I do have a lot of mum friends, and my main group is all single lol. I’ve met some mums from peanut where we did family play dates and the men got along yeah. Your man doesn’t sound controlling he just sounds judgemental lol
