My little boy is 3 and I used a thermal lined swimsuit until he was 2 and even now I put him in an all in one swimsuit ☺️
My baby is 9 months old and I have full vest suite
Swim nappy and a full wetsuit is what I always used for my girl
Splash about wetsuit
My son was 6 months when we first took him swimming. I brought a thermal lined full swim suit from vinted for £5 which kept him warmer (kids pool as well so was warmer than the adult pool) when he grew out of it I brought a full wet suit for him to wear as well because he did swimming lessons. I'll be doing the same with my daughter when she's born as well.
I found the wetsuits really annoying to get on and off and ended up using a happy nappy with one of the splash about wrap vests and that worked well to keep him warm but also be easy to change!
Regardless of what you choose make sure and bring a big fluffy towel OUT to the pool so you can immediately wrap them up. Don't leave it in the locker room.
Amazon have some great lightweight wetsuit swimming costumes 😊
Full wetsuit, they get really cold especially when you carry them back to the cubicles x
I must be the odd 1 out 🙈 my girl just wears a normal little swimsuit and I don’t take a towel to the pool side because we rinse off in the warm shower on the way to get dressed when I then wrap her up. If she was younger I might have used a wet suit but after about 8-9 months there isn’t much need because they start to be able to regulate their temperature. Also the wet suits are hard to get off when they are wet!
We used Splashabout with the extra nappy layer when they were this age and it was a good thickness to keep them warm and also keep accidents in
I’d put him in a full wetsuit. My daughter was a little bit older when we took her but we put her in a full wet suit x
