My 10 week old wil cry for food when I feed him (he normally takes 5 oz) he will only drink 2-3 oz during the morning/day. But will take 5 in the evening. Is this a thing. He is also sucking on his hands a lot.

Is he bottle feeding or breastfed?
My baby just hit 12 weeks and did the same exact thing at 10 weeks and seems to be back to her regular 5 oz every 3 hours during the day during week 10 we went to every 2 hours 2 or 3 oz and she would gal asleep so I guess it’s a thing
My baby just did this for a few days and now is back to normal eating habits
Might be a growth spurt needing to eat more frequently. The hand thing is a developmental thing.
My baby is breastfed and she is cluster feeding. They are shorter feeds just more frequent.jhst tell s the body baby is going to grow and need to up the supply. Even when you don't need to (I'm a over supplier) they do it anyway.
Yeah we just hit 12 weeks and he’s finally eating a lot again!
If he’s breastfed your milk may be getting fattier and he may need less
Is he having gas issues? My little guy isn't a great burper, sometimes he needs mylicon drops halfway through a bottle - he tends to do a lot of non-nutritive sucking (hands, bottle, binky) when he has a gas bubble that needs to pop
If the baby is hungry just feed him. I know some people history taking the baby’s to the doctor because never stopped crying even after eating and the doctor saying the baby is just hungry is asking for more food. Also I know a baby that eats 6-7 oz every 3 hours and is only 10 weeks, my baby eats that in almost all day, not all baby’s are the same
my 10 week old is going through the same thing right now! i chalked it up to a growth spurt , hoping it eases soon 😣❤️
