I have twin boys almost 7mo. They never been a great sleepers. Still waking up for feeds at night. They were always restless around 4-5am till 7am ish when they wake up but recently it’s just impossible to sleep. First part of the night (they go to bed around 7:30-8pm) it’s usually fine but from 3-4-5am till when they wake up they just scream and stir. Last part of the night they are in bed with us because if they weren’t they wouldn’t sleep probably. Even tho they are in our bed it’s still the same and when we try to comfort them it’s very difficult. Sometimes it works but not for long.
We already moved to 3 naps a day I would say a week or so ago.
I tried different bed times and stuff but nothing seems to be working. They also aren’t too cold or hot.
I’m just running out of ideas. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong 😣
Thanks in advance x

Have you got a black out blind up? The light will affect their circadian rhythm
I have no advice but solidarity from another exhausted twin mama! we have just had 2 weeks of this with our boys alternating which one is awake every 45 minutes. We have put it down to increase in food in the day and the gut at night having to work a bit harder/making them more uncomfortable overnight and we also have some teeth coming through we think. They have thankfully, got better in the last few days without us actively doing anything.
With my first I remember we went through stages of this everytime she got a new skill (one of the boys is sitting the other has finally rolled so I was expecting disturbed sleep) they also have a growth spurt now which can disturb sleep
What’s your sleep arrangements with them when they aren’t in your bed?
As @Katelynn mentioned I think it’s same . Even I am dealing with similar situation for last two nights . We had very ruff night where my baby goes to full sleep only at 11.30pm and keeps stirring up every 2hrs . And almost awake morning around 4.30am seeing the first ray of light . Seems very difficult and tiring at the moment . I am thinking to shut the blinds completely today and test . Good luck to me too
@Katelynn we have a black out blind and also I put a black blanket over the window red light and white noise
@Ceri-Ann good to hear I’m not on my own!
So they share a cot in our bedroom as my nephew has been staying with us. Us soon as he’s gone they will go back to their bedroom and share a big floor bed.
They have only a little bit of food at the moment as we haven’t gone through weaning fully yet.
They are both rolling and now I think getting ready to start learning how to sit. No teeth yet.
With us this has been going on for weeks so I feel like I have to do something about it as I am exhausted. Luckily they do sleep during a day.
Also I don’t think they sleep too much
They have x2 1,5h nap and one 30 min nap
@Kat have you tried turning off the red light so it’s completely dark? Sorry you’re having a tough time!

Have a look through some of the advice on this website ( they have something for every issue). I think it’s so helpful
Have you tried giving them separate sleep spaces at all? My boys disturb each other so much if they’re in together that they’ve never actually shared a crib at all. Also with them now rolling the safe sleep advise is to ensure they have separate sleep spaces to reduce the risk of suffocation from each other as they obviously don’t understand to roll away from each other at this point.
I agree with @Katelynn about the light too even the slightest bit of light is disturbing ours at the moment.
Also do you use white noise incase it’s external noises disturbing them?
@Katelynn thank you c we usually only turn it on for feedings so we can see something at least
