I have abortion pills already. I opened the pack and it came with 12 small pills and 1 larger one. So 13 in total. Does anyone have experience with a medical abortion and can help me understand how and when to take them? I did my research but would love to hear from someone who has been through it. If you’d rather I message you privately I’m cool with that also! Thanks so much to anyone who is willing to help, and please no other comments necessary because I’ve already made my decision.

@Chelsea thank you!! I’m not sure but I will look into it. I believe abortions are illegal where I live, not sure if that makes a difference.
Please do not take medication that does not have any instructions. Abortion pills can be very dangerous if taken incorrectly. If you’ve not got them from an actual medical source do you even know what those drugs truly are? If termination is illegal where you are then you could also find yourself with more problems if you needed to go to the hospital because of complications and someone reports it.
Girl, where did you get these pills? If they are not legit please don’t take them. You can call Planned Parenthood or BPAS (depending on where you are) for free confidential advice. But don’t go taking random pills that didn’t come with a leaflet.
100% agree with the ladies above. If these were not given by professionals it could do more harm than good. There’s even a chance you will go though all of this with pain and illness and still be pregnant at the end. Defo give planned parenthood a call x
100% call you doctor and ask. Also make SURE you have a friend or family member that knows youre taking them. Some people can have very intense reactions needing medical attention. Never do it alone. Does it say the type of medication on the pack? Usually the abortion pill is misoprostol and it is either one or 2 pills taken 12 hours apart.
@Marina yea I’ve never heard of 12/13 pills just the two you have to take. Pls OP if you didn’t get them from a licensed professional do NOT take them.
Did the doctor not give instructions?

Abortion pills is usually 2 pills. The first pill stops your body from producing the pregnancy hormones/stops the baby from growing. The second pill causes you to expel the pregnancy.
Typically medical abortions consist of two different medications & a total of 5 pills.
The first pill you take is one mifepristone
and then 24-48 hours later, you take 4 misoprostol.

13 pills sounds weird, I think I had only 2 pills years ago for medical reasons
@Parker 又 thank you so much! This is exactly what I was told also. I have more than the usual amount because the place I got them from gives extra doses of the 2nd pill just in case the first dose is unsuccessful.
My OBGYNs office instructed me to insert the 4 misoprostol vaginally as close to my cervix as possible, I’ve never had any complications or needed more medication.
I’ve had an abortion & the same treatment for a miscarriage as well.
I wish you luck & a speedy recovery! 🫶🏼🫂❤️🩹
(Pills have a shelf life of 2-4 years I believe too btw, just google how your supposed to store them!)
@Parker 又 you’re awesome!
Check with your provider to be safe! I’m sure this decision didn’t come easy but know you’re not alone and you will be amazing❤️ Much love!
Thank you!! I love being helpful!
Another very helpful resource to have in your tool box! https://mahotline.org
Please have someone with you or on call in case anything goes sideways
are you not in texas? how’d you get those pills?
The pills I had were only two of them and then I had to take 2 more like 8 hrs later. They have instructions and you should follow them to the T
