My son seems to refuse so many solids lately (like a month ago he didn’t refuse much) but now he just wants milky (his formula or lactose free milk), purée pouches, or snacks like rice husks or puffs, he is starting to spit out almost all solids and I’m thinking it’s because I’m giving in and giving him his milky instead or purée instead? Should I just 86 all purée and formula and only give solids? I’m at a loss and I feel bad because the formula says only up to 12m and he’s 14m. The doctor says he hasn’t lost any weight so there’s no concern but I’m wondering if it’s because I’m also still giving him his milky (mainly at night)? I don’t know but I’m stressed!

Learn more about our guidelines.I don’t see an issue with still offering at night. My son did for a while too.
Maybe keep offering the real food you’d like him to eat and if he refuses , instead of offering an alternative like a snack, just put it up and offer it again 10 minutes later.
If he refuses a lot and you think he’s not getting enough calories and needs more milk for substance,, maybe try a kate farm for better nutrition since the formula won’t be offering quite what he needs anymore
@Ashley this is so helpful. Thank you mama!!!!
It'll just rot his teeth, milk before bed. Ours was like that but we just stopped giving him formula/milk altogether and replaced his milk bottles with water. Then he started eating solids regularly!
they also make toddler formula suitable for 12m+. i would just stay consistent with offering food and make it a habit to try to eat together as well. sometimes that helps them. but if his not losing weight, then i don’t see the issue. as long as he is still getting calories and nutrients.
Keep giving him food on demand every 3 hours ! He will get used to it!
