Learn more about our guidelines. She'll get it on her own . My 10 month old just started walking . I feel like every time we intervened when she tried it delayed her. We'd just let her use whatever us included to stabilize herself. She started off just standing up no assistance then the steps came. Before when we'd try to stand her up or walk her she'd just collapse into a crawl. Just let her be
Yes, I agree, just get out of her way and let her figure it out! Sounds like she's working hard on it. It takes a ton of balance and working out stabilizing muscles before a baby can walk, and she'll keep working on all that until she can do it. When you think about how walking is really just highly controlled falling, flinging ourselves forward in space and trusting that we'll have the strength and coordination to catch ourselves, you can see why it takes them awhile to get everything in place so they can do it. Just have faith in her!
Long before my little one started walking I’d take her hands to help her balance and guide her around the house multiple times a day, just to build the muscle memory yk.
As a mom of two DONT help her. If she doesn’t crawl work on that. If she does walk with her hand just don’t pull them above her hand.
Have her stand. Cruise furniture use a walker for short periods.
But really your life will never be the same if she walks.
I heard 10 months is on the earlier side and that boys tend to do the physical milestones quicker. My son is barely taking a few steps at a time and I know 13 month olds that are in the same boat so I wouldn’t stress at this point
My 10 month old is walking with assistance (holding on to stuff, us holding his hands). We started with using a walker. We just let him be and follow his instincts. We are working on him using a push walker now to help with his balance.
She uses her push toys, walks a side the couch. She also holds onto our fingers and walks, and does a lot of falling or bending down. But this was all her idea, she wanted to try out walking. My great nephew didn't do as much practicing as my dsughter and he started walking all by himself after he tuned a year old and he was less active than my girl . My daughter only does short distances like 5ft or less at a time but she crawls about the same amount as she does walking. Our babies are still young, they'll get it when time comes even if it is after a year old.❤️😄
Def let them do it on their own, they have a way of knowing when it’s time for them to start. My son was cruising for a while and then he was basically forcing himself to start walking lol, but he eventually got it himself at 9 months! I just wouldn’t intervene, babies are so smart.
Just put lots of stuff she can use to cruise and she will get there
