Learn more about our guidelines. This late on and during all my trimesters. 😩 It’s a pain but we’re almost there. I haven’t taken even a paracetamol this pregnancy so im not one for medicine. I try and stay upright and sip ice cold water. I have been sick a few times throughout because of the heartburn though. It dont seem right to call it heartburn as its so much more than just heartburn. Its raging on fire not normal heatburn. I hope you find some relief.
it’s so bad i was going through a bottle of gaviscon a day in the third trimester!! Nights were the worse i cried it was so bad! i’m 5 weeks pp and just some positive vibes to let you know the second baby is here it stops!! also just think your baby will probably have loads of hair mine did xxx
@Elisha thank you! I agree heartburn just doesnt seem the correct name for it cause it feels 100% worse😩
@Becky thank you! Last night i was on the verge of tears it was that bad!
Yeah thats very true! If he doesn’t have hair ill probably cry that I’ve been having this heartburn for nothing haha xx
I started getting it bad about 30 weeks ring your midwife and ask for Omeprazole since I’ve taken one a day I haven’t had it since, they are amazing x
@Chloe Anne Corbett i will speak to her thank you! X
Get a prescription from the doctors for omeprazole and take it 30 mins before any food in the morning will keep heart burn away all day!
@Sophie i will speak to them thank you! X
I'm 35 weeks and 6 bottles of Gaviscon down since the start of my pregnancy! It stopped working a couple weeks ago and the burning pain is unbearable, especially at night time, I literally have to sit up to sleep sometimes and it still burns… My GP gave me omeprazole but I’ve been too tired to pick up from the pharmacy because I’ve not been eating to stop the burning x
I got omeprazole it was the best thing ever
I got it bad when I was in bed so I put a brick underneath the mattress at the pillow end so I wasn’t lying flat. Not sure if it worked that well but it might be worth a go!
I also got through many bottles of gaviscon!
