If you have a decent audience who can contribute and share all over, yes. If you randomly make it without the correct audience/support system, it's a flop.
And with a great description/story and picking out the best pictures to use to gain attention.
@Ana I don’t have any audience
Tell a chat bot like gpt everything and ask it to assist you with the go fund me
Beyond sharing it with friends and family, are there any local groups you might be able to get to share it? Religious institutions, local Facebook pages, local businesses that do community charity, that kind of thing?
I agree with above, you need a very good description and also photos to bring it home to people. I don’t post my kids anywhere online but I suppose if I needed to raise money in a go fund me then I’d have to put that aside as I think photos make people resonate with a story. The link needs sharing on social media and encouraging others to share on so it’s reaching a wider audience. Could you try to get the attention of a local journalist to share - I’m not sure where you are but I know there’s always journalists lurking is community groups looking for a story where I am
audience can just be your insta followers or fb friends or family group chat, etc.
