Anyone been told they have this at 20 week scan or had it with a previous baby and it reversed? I really dont want a c section and I’m nervous it doesn’t shift between now and 30 weeks

Learn more about our guidelines. With my first , yes, they told me that only 0.5% won’t have shifted by the next scan and mine had moved right up by 30 weeks. Try not to worry ☺️ x
Yes I got told that I was later sent for another scan week later and it had moved to high posterior x try not to worry I was told it moves a lot and only rarely it dosnt move
That’s so helpful thank you! I had to go to the scan alone and the sonographer was so sour and refused to answer any questions and mentioned things like c section, bed rest and haemorrhage in the future. Left a mess
Did you both get told at your 20 week scan or earlier?
I got told at 20 week scan sorry to hear you had a horrid experience they shouldn’t have been like that with you
That’s awful! My scanner was lovely , really played it down and told me it was so likely that it would move. Sorry you had a bad experience x
I have the same low lying placenta. I only found out before now as had some bleeding (because of it) at 18 weeks. I’m so sorry your sonographer didn’t give you a good experience 😩. I was too told it’s really common and more likely to move as baby grows. It’s a little unnerving but seeing a healthy baby put my mind at ease 💕
I haven't but there's plenty of time for it to move, 20 weeks is still v early
I had my scan at 19+4 and came back 21+6 and it has already started moving they have given me another scan for 32 weeks but they have said it is becoming increasingly common and unless already stated not to stress x
Ive got a low lying placenta 1mm from my cervix 😖 it needs to be min 2cm to be able to have vaginal birth. I really do not want a c section as I also have toddler to take care of. Fingers crossed it moves 🤞🏻 x
I had this with my son last year, it moved in its own by 28 weeks!
Thanks so much everyone, this has been so reassuring ❤️🩹 honestly the panic I was in when I left, fingers crossed it shifts in its own x
