Hi I’m a mom of 3 and have suffered from agoraphobia for about 8-10 years. Not sure what I’m looking for here by this post maybe some solidarity? It’s so hard being a mom with agoraphobia I get them everywhere they need to go I just feel like I’m failing them and we could have so much more fun getting out more. Not having any genuine friends sucks.

It really impacts me to do more so things with my friends then it does with my kids. Anytime I take the kids somewhere It’s usually more open spaces that aren’t terribly crowded. It’s more so when I do things with my friends. Like if bars are really crowded, they wanna go to concerts or outside festivals, they wanna go to giant meet ups downtown. Those are the things that I really struggle with when I can’t get out of the situation that I’m stuck in. It is very hard. You are completely valid and you are very strong. My best suggestion is trying to do things outside of buildings, open air spaces, make me less anxious. Also take a stem toy with you so you can have something for your hands to do. I like having a friend, a cousin, a coworker, someone that knows about my condition with me when I go out places.
I didnt know what Agarophobia means, until now, girl I think I have that, the effort that I have to make to make plans and leave the house its very big. I try my best because I have two babys and the weather its good now, but i have panic attacks, like something its about to happen.
me too, it’s gotten better over the years but…slowly lol. are you talking to a therapist or anything like that?
