Anyone recently deliver at Frederick Health? What did they give you to take home for postpartum supplies and breastfeeding?

Learn more about our guidelines.Had my baby there in April.
They gave me tons of stuff, ice packs, extra pads (I did not use I preferred my own diapers but they had tons there and gave me another bag after) witch hazel wipes, dermoplast.
As far as breastfeeding they gave me the flanges I used in the hospital but they were too big for me. I believe they have sizes 24 and 22 (or something close to that). They also gave me a manual pump and a little bit of pre-mixed formula.
I also got a pack of newborn diapers and a few little things for the baby (a hat, swaddle etc)
I had this, this morning it looked like period blood. I had no pain prior to this, currently no pain.
I’ve already been to see the midwife and they said this is a show. Baby is all good and moving around but I was initially concerned as that was a lot for a show. Wondering if any other people have had something similar? How soon after this does labour start? I’m 40+3 weeks pregnant

I am debating booking in for an elective c section for various reasons. I’m currently 35+5 and have my 36w appt at 36+5 when I need to let the midwife know (we have previously spoken about this)
I wondered if anyone else has booked in, when they have been booked in for? What week / day etc? I know they say from 39 weeks but is this 39 weeks on the dot, or + how many days? I would be 39 weeks on a Thursday, and I know they don’t book electives over the weekend so wonder if it’ll be after the weekend.

Does anyone have experience of being induced? This might need to be an option for me for personal reasons and needing to have as planned a birth as possible. I had a spontaneous delivery with my first years ago, but induction was suggested to me by my obstetrician today and I’m just curious what other people’s experiences are. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hay! I’m 37weeks today and my poor girly down there is so swollen and painful the last couple days. Has anyone else experienced this? I think it’s lightning crotch but not sure. I’m also feeling so much pressure down there I think little one is getting ready.

I’ve got my follow up growth scan today for suspected big baby. 37 weeks tomorrow.
I’ve already been told that if he’s still measuring big they’ll offer to induce me.
They’ve booked a phone call appointment in for tomorrow too, to discuss the scan results.
I know I don’t want an induction, I’ve always said this. And I know scans are wrong 60% of the time- but I have a gut feeling he is actually big.
But there’s that worry that if I decline it, what if I cause something awful to happen to him.
I’ll see what they say but just looking for others who have been in similar situation or going through the same!
