After 2 years of being a SAHM my son will be starting daycare tomorrow. I’m nervous, I’ve already cried twice and I’m also SO excited to have time off. I’m a single mom with no village and I’ve only been baby free for a couple hours every few months when my friend babysits. My last baby free night was in September 2024, and before that once in January2024. That’s it! I’ve booked myself a facial and a massage and about 3 naps! 🤣 I can’t wait to eat alone. Go to target alone 🤣 but omg I miss him already!

Learn more about our guidelines. So my husband had the two kids from 9:30am until 3:30pm, when they were picked up by grandparents (I was at work) I pick the kids up, take them home at 8pm and the house is an absolute state, dirty nappies everywhere, toys everywhere, a sink full of washing up, rubbish on the sides. So I get angry. But apparently I’m selfish because I just don’t like him having time to himself and he’ll do it all before he goes to bed (at 12am) but 30% of the time he says this, he forgets and I wake up to a sink full of washing up! I’m now such a horrible person for arguing with him and he said he’d do it on his terms so I need to grow up. How are you all reacting?!

Baby is 3 weeks old and now that hubby is back at work I can't get anything done as baby won't let me put him down without screaming. Is this normal? I feel so stressed not being able to go to the loo, brush teeth, do everyday chores etc. or maybe I shouldnt be worrying about all this stuff so soon?! 😱😭

We clash constantly about house jobs, I work 3days, increasing to 4soon, have baby 1 day and the other day is for house stuff
However on the evenings or weekend he does nothing, this argument has been going on for months I don't want to live with him anymore. Im trying to figure out a plan before our whole relationship falls apart....
I feel like it will be easier if we had a routine like every sat morning we spend an hour from 9 to 10 emptying dishwasher, hoovering and mopping etc jobs that are created from him aswell so he isnt picking up my stuff.
I feel really sad inside and feel that all the jobs I do tackle are ignored, the time of doing the washing, changing the bedding, caring for our baby its ignored and im not appreciated and it makes me feel like wanting to leave.
If I did the washing which took 3 hours , and I left some of it downstairs he wouldn't pick it up and bring it upstairs cause he says I got it out!
Any advice support i would really appreciate i dont want to split up but I absolutely will and I know i can work and look after baby on my own.
Thank you xx

Does anyone have a partner with their child but feel like theyre doing it alone? Feels like I have to beg for any kind of help. Yes they work full time and that's great, but being with the little one all day and night is also really hard. Even when he has a day off he seems to only think about himself. Doesn't get up in the night, doesn't get up in the morning with her, doesn't use his brain and think about what needs to be done around the house, doesn't tidy up after himself or his daughter (my step daughter who is 11). Just feeling like im everyone's maid around the house and I hate it so much. So o top of looking after a now 1yr old 24/7 with very minimal help, I'm doing everything else too.
Just feel like im doing everything alone and it's so hard.
I've spoken to him about this for just under a year now. Every time I bring it up I talk calmly and explain how im feeling and he just shuts me down and takes it as if im saying hes a shit dad that does fuck all?
Im just lost lol, I have 0 energy for anything and yet have to do everything for everyone.
Anyone have any similar issues or can give me some advice. Lmao

My first grader chose to participate in their school monthly marathon. She ran rough .8 miles a day for a month and earned her marathon. She was awarded a medal at the end of year ceremony with like 10 other kids who completed it.
I sent my family photos with what she did and they all go "well thats not really a marathon then", "lol back in my day they just gave us a gold sticker star", and my mom just sent back "HA".
Like really? Just say good job thats awesome. Now I understand why I never wanted to do anything as a kid.
