My husband was raised by his grandparents and his grandmother is in a nursing home full time. She wants to see the new baby and I just don’t think it’s a good idea to bring a 4 month old baby or really any aged baby to a nursing home voluntarily. Just looking for any advice on how to either say no, not for awhile or if we do go how to try to keep baby safe from any germs.
Hubby is on board with whatever I ask normally which is currently not taking baby to see her right now but I know it will get to a point where he will buck me a bit and I’m trying to find a solution before that happens.

Learn more about our guidelines. We took our son to meet his grandma in the nursing home when he was about 2 months old. Her nursing home has a visiting room that you can reserve at the front, so you can stay away from other patients. We also didn’t put the baby super close to her.
Take that baby places! Building their immune system is so important in their first year of life! It seems scary but take wipes and wipe things down if you’re worried
I work in a nursing home! Sometimes patients will meet immunocompromised family members/ babies outside, weather permitting, so they don’t have to go into the facility.
