I'm starting to think my baby is low sleep needs, her total sleep is 12.5hrs on a good day. I am mentally and physically on the verge of burn out, I've got a fat cold, I'm up between 5-5:30am every day because no matter what I do she will not sleep any later. I am exhausted, I am touched out, I just want some rest.
She sleeps in her own room, with blackout blinds and white noise
She naps on avg total 2 hours, sometimes 2 naps sometimes 3
When she wakes up at 5 there is no getting her back to sleep, I've tried for an hour today and instead it's just resorted in tears for me
I have no village to have her at all, my partner works but he isn't much help even when he is home as he doesn't really play with her, he sees himself as a babysitter if I ask him to watch her just so I can go toilet.
I can't even put her down because she screams
I dont know what I'm doing wrong, I see all of you on here saying your baby sleeps and I just cry
This has been going on since she turned 6 months

I know it's tough but it will get easier your doing great mum just remember that
@Selina what time does she go to bed? But at least my baby isn't the only one
We are trying to put her down from 8 but 10 is when she actually gose down we have recently put her in her own room thinking this would help but didn't
My baby is similar but one thing I noticed that since we dropped third nap and if we go to night sleep early (around 7) she can sleeps 11 hours against 8.5-9.5 h 🤷🏻‍♀️
We also went through a stage waking up at 5, that’s tough!
My baby also only sleeps about 12 hours in a 24 hour period. That’s normally 9-10 hours at night with 1 or 2 wakes and then 3 naps in the day which are usually only 30 mins each, sometimes she will nap for an hour. I spoke to the health visitor as I was worried she wasn’t getting enough sleep but she said it won’t do her any harm, she’ll sleep if she’s tired and some babies just need less sleep. Hang in there x
