9 month old boy still not crawling or babbling. Not sure how I can support his development.

Hi! My son just turned 9 months today and he’s still not crawling or babbling (no mama or dada yet) My son prefers to roll around to get anywhere he wants to go and gets super upset when I try to put him on his arms and legs. As for babbling, he makes a lot of “ahh” sounds and blows raspberries but that’s about it.

What are some things that I can do to support his development? Has anyone had a similar experience with their baby?

Give it 3 more months before you start to worry. I know 12mo perfectly smart and healthy babys who aren’t walking or babbling. Also some baby’s skip crawling so that’s not a big deal at all. If he doesn’t want to crawl focus on getting him to stand and be comfortable on his legs

Agreed with the above comment. Give it time, my youngest completely skipped crawling and went straight to walking. He only rolled. Now I would give anything for him to stay still 🤣🤣

Our 10 month old only started crawling and really babbling a few weeks ago! Showed no signs for ages, but now doesnt stop either. Please try not to worry 😊😊 sounds like you're doing all the right things to help him

But remember not to worry ur self my son didn’t say his first word till he was 1 years old and then he’s now 2 he won’t stop talking or telling me no as I was the same about my son not crawling but he use to watch other baby’s at play groups and try

My sister and my neighbors kid observed and then my sister walked in on her daughter singing the full abc song. My son cant stop freaking talking so he was way ahead, but he didnt crawl and went straight to standing up and them walking around 1.

Most boys dont talk until after 2 hardly at all. They are physical first usually. Depends on the kids though

My 15 month old knows five words. At 12 months he knew “mom-mom” and “hi”. And at 9 months he just loved the occasional burble and to do raspberries. He’ll get there when he’s ready.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
