Holiday ☀️

Has any one been on holiday during pregnancy? We have booked to go next month and I’ll be 28 weeks at the time. I haven’t got any medical conditions and not a high risk pregnancy. Any tips or do’s/dont’s? Thanks in advance 🙂

This is my second pregnancy and I have travel on both pregnancies until 24th 25th. I am going again for three weeks, the things I keep in mind is:
Flight- wearing compressions socks, keep hydration and move around if it is a long flight
The stay- just make sure you know where to go in case of an emergency or who to call
Rest when you need don't over do it and enjoy!

I am on holiday right now at 25 weeks pregnant. I made sure I had healthy snacks for the plane and went for a walk up and down every hour or so (flight was only 3 hours). Now just drinking lots of water and budgeting my time in the sun. I was a bit worried when booking it but I feel great and so nice to relax before getting properly tired in third trimester.

Don’t forget your maternity notes!

Definitely get compression socks, my flight was only 2 hours long but put my mind at ease

And just make sure you’re not overcommitting yourself to things while away (aka build in adequate time for an afternoon nap if needed). I only say this as we booked a city break and i underestimated how tired I would be walking all day

Also as 28 weeks, just make sure you don’t need a doctors note to fly

Just stay hydrated and make sure bump is sun creamed up as I burnt my bump when I went away 😂

40 weeks pregnant and no signs!!

I’m 40 weeks pregnant and I’ve had no signs that baby’s on their way. I’ve spoken with a lot of people who have lost their mucus plug or had a bloody show but nothing from my side.

Has anyone else experienced/experiencing this?

I’m feeling nervous about potentially being induced.

(This is my first baby so I don’t know what to expect)

Thank you!!

My frozen embryo transfer is tomorrow... and so is being summoned for jury duty 🤦‍♀️

I've come this far so definitely don't want to go into my procedure feeling stressed over jury duty, especially if my group was called in and I'm aware I am no showing. Seems the most reasonable solution is just to not call in... I've never actually had to go so I don't know what they would do if I was summoned in court but no showed.

What would you do? *jury duty is off the table due to my procedure, so would you bother calling in the morning or ignore it?

So frustrated! C section today

Today I’m booked in for an elective c section. After an awful induction process with my 1st that ended in an emergency c section, I had such big plans to make this one a lovely experience.

Take away the night before, my daughter at her grandparents so we can get a good night sleep 🩷

The grandparents wouldn’t have her because they both had work today, which was fine. She’s usually a really good sleeper and has 12 hours 7pm-7am no problem.

Nope, she’s been up every hour during the night and started her day at 5am. We are both exhausted!

Is this a good enough reason to reschedule my section!?

Exhausted🫩

I had my daughter on April 15th of this year. She was born with a few complications and has been in the cicu since she was a day old. Ive been living at the hospital basically with her since then. I wish things were so different for her 😕 its hard to see her in here everyday.

Uk c-section

I am a size 24 uk, and Friday I had an emergency section. I do have an overhanging belly and have done for years but could anyone tell me their experience with the person and healing process? I’m no fool I know it’s major surgery, but I can barely walk, I cannot stand up straight. I’m scared to go home because our bed is so low down and c weirdly it feels like I’ve b pulled a muscle in my hip that I expect I’d need. When do I start to feel better. Thanks
