I have a video one and I actually set it up in their play room to keep an eye on them while I’m cleaning/cooking/etc!!! 😂
We have canary video in our bedroom for 9 month old and one in my 2 yr old bedroom. It’s great so she can have some independent play and I can keep an eye on her. We are keeping hers for awhile because she has febrile seizures, so we like to have that visibility overnight when she is sick.
I stopped around a year. My sons voice was so loud and dominant that I could hear him anywhere during anything LOL. Do it “just because”. One day you’ll just feel comfortable not turning it on.
I'm still using mine in my son's room and he's turning 2 in July. With my daughter I never had to use it but my son gets into everything so I need to keep a close eye when I'm cooking or cleaning
We had one for like, a month. It broke pretty quickly and we realized we could hear him just fine without it. Plus we started cosleeping pretty soon after that. We haven’t bought one since then haha!
Ours broke within a year. And she was right across the hall. But in our new house she’s far away from our room and she’s much sneakier at age 5! We are seriously considering getting a new one to keep an eye on her. Lol
We stopped using ours when we realized we didn’t set it up right and didn’t want to expend the effort to fix it 🤷🏼♀️ We sleep right next to the little dude and even when we can’t hear him our dog can and WILL let us know!
Thanks ladies. It's kinda bit me in the butt when we taught the girls they had to stay in their beds after lights out. LOL But the girls sleep with a fan and we sleep with a fan. My 4yo won't come to get me if she wakes up so I guess we will have to work on a different option.
My daughter is 9 and I still use mine. But she sleeps on the other side of the house and sleep walks.
I still use it and my daughter is 18 months.
We quit using ours when we actually picked up another monitor signal from a few houses down. It scared me when I heard a man and boy talking through our monitor. There is no TV in their room so I ran upstairs to my daughter’s room to check on them and they were sleeping.
