We are on 2nd round of IVF and currently in the TWW. 🤞🤞Even though i have decent insurance but weve still spent about 15k out of pocket thus far in the last 18 months. Luckily we had some savings and some family support, and a LOT of budgeting.
We are with a CCRM clinic and they know their stuff - we didn't have a choice of clinic due to insurance but its worked out well.
Good luck to you! If and when you tske that route..make sure to gather your support crew! Mine has been a freaking life saver for my partner and I.
I had 2 last year, with ICSI. $15k including medicines. Not successful. My doctor said he had a lady who got pregnant on her 5th one. My advise is dont make yourself sure it will work as it hurts more if it doesnt. Dont be afraid of the needles and the procedures. Focus on your emotions and your marriage.
I went through two rounds of natural cycle IVF (neither egg fertilized) and then went through one stimulated cycle before we had a viable embryo to move forward with. I luckily had a successful pregnancy on my first implant and my gal is 7 1/2 months old now. All in (all medications, procedures, husband’s procedures) put us at the $50k mark. The stimulated cycle we opted to go with was more expensive as it was a guaranteed procedure for a live birth.
We did IVF and spent $9,500 on round one. That included our first egg retrieval (started with 7 embryos and got down to only 2) and a fresh transfer of one egg. It ended in a chemical. Round 2 was a frozen transfer with our last embryo and it cost $2500. We now have a beautiful baby boy 💕 medications were thankfully covered almost 100% by my husbands insurance but if you don’t have that coverage you would have to factor that in as well. I’m here if you have any other questions!
I would suggest you check out Fertility IQ, you can read doctor and clinic reviews and they have educational videos about fertility treatment!
