Any suggestions for TTC books dealing with PCOS and emotional support?

My husband and I have been TTC for 2 years now with no luck. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early twenties and have been on Metformin to help balance my hormones since. I have been struggling with staying positive and "stress-free" as everyone recommends. My husband is extremely supportive, any suggestions for any good reads for PCOS and emotional support?

I think special pcos diet and hormone balancing exercise might can help a bit. With a healthy lifestyle your mood gonna be better and less stressful. Try it i hope it helps. Good luck and NEVER give up trying. Xx

Hello hun I have pcos and a hormone imbalance as well as many other joy full pcos symptoms 🙈 Iv herd that slimming world is really good for weight loss with pcos I’m joining this Thursday so I can let you know that goes! It took me 4 years to conceive naturally with my daughter and it then took another 3 1/2 years to get pregnant again what ended in a miscarriage (due to stress and work) I would say try and not try/think about getting pregnant as that will then stress you out even more and you will find it harder to conceive when your “having fun” do it to enjoy it try and not think of it as if we do this it might lead to pregnancy if that makes sense? You can also get a few books on amazon or go on Facebook and look up drew Baird fitness he is an Australian guy who has spent years researching pcos and does videos filled with helpful informationand easy to understand he breaks it all Down he also has a website that sales loads of great books on pcos Iv orderd from him before definitely check him out!

Thank you for the advice and suggestions! Yes, let me know how Slimming world is. I'll be very curious to hear how it is.

Hi, I've recently self diagnosed pcos, waiting for gyne appointment to confirm. I have started taking inositol to help get my ovulation back, quit dairy, sugar and now stick to a low carb diet. I would recommend listening to the pcos nutritionist podcast. It explains how most pcos sufferers have an insulin resistance and getting this under control is key to managing pcos symptoms. I echo the above responses, here if you want to chat ☺

Sure, here it is. I've found it very useful, made many changes based on what Claire says and I've really seen a good difference in symptoms https://open.spotify.com/show/0MfkXwFMpxjrGZzjwVeFp8?si=B5nSAGwvR2Wxt1u754VnOw

Thank you for all the comments and advice. ♥️

I was also diagnosed with that. I was trying with my fiancée for almost 2 years off and on but once they told me I had pcos. I got on birth control which helped me get my periods regularly and balance my hormones. I also got on the keto diet and did intermittent fasting. I only ate from 12pm-8pm. As soon I stopped my birth control I got pregnant. Good luck to you and don’t lost faith!

They say even losing 10lbs increases your fertility lots. (I know easier said than done!)

Yes, I've heard that too. I've lost weight and sadly it didn't change hormones enough to be in "normal" range. Metformin seems to be working with managing hormones according to the last blood test. It's just becoming disheartening when you do what they tell you and it still doesn't happen.

Do you take any supplements and are your cycles regular? I was having between 57&59 day cycles. This one has been the first complete cycle I've done taking inositol and it was 34 days. 😁

I still want to be a mom is an amazing book that has journaling built into it. It’s not based on PCOS, i found more info on that just googling but it’s a really good book and helped me tremendously! You got this 💕

It starts with the egg is a great book and it breaks down pcos and gives a list of supplements you should take

I have PCOS diagnosed in high school. If you ever need to talk I’m here. It’s hard to stay positive and not feel alone in this but I am really thankful for Peanut. My husband is so supportive but I sometimes get down and can’t explain why to him. It will happen for all of us.

Woman Code may help a lot!

What is woman code

My husband bought “Not Broken: An Approachable Guide to Miscarriage and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss” by Lora Shahine after our most recent third lost. I’ve yet to crack it open, but it got good reviews.

Woman Code by Alisa Vitti is a great book about balancing hormones naturally to control PCOS and to help conceive if that’s your goal! I used it to help myself get off the bc pill without having ovarian cysts come back!

Thank you all for your advice. I'm happy to say that my husband have just confirmed that we're pregnant! 8 weeks

No , I hadnt really done anything different with consistency. I did try taking Fertilaid but it made me feel sick so I stopped. So I just continued my Metformin 1000mg in the morning and at night . Then I honestly just tried to not be so obsessive and stress over it. I tried to relax and just let whatever was going to happen happen. Which I know it's much easier said than done.
