Question!💛

Hi!! I'm currently 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I had a doctors appointment this morning to check to see how dilated I was. She said I'm between 1 1/2- 2 centimeters dilated. I'm just wondering if any of you guys had to take a guess. How many days do you guys think it'll take until I go into labor? I'm super curious my hubby's really hoping he's not born on Sunday because of the super bowl.😂🤦‍♀️ The only symptoms I've had so far is frequently urinating, cramps, and discharge.

I was 2cm dilated and didn’t have baby till days later

Thank you!!! I'm so antsy, I just want him to be born already lol.

I kno the feeling!!! I did all kinds of weird stuff to try and rush him...but he truly came on his own time

Omg were the same , my boy is due February 2nd ( Sunday) so we’ll see if we miss the Super Bowl lol I have my doctors appointment tomorrow so we’ll see . How have you been feeling ? I have the same symptoms as you with some back pain

I definitely feel you on that , I feel like he wants to rip open my belly... That date would be pretty cool 😎

Heyo!! That's crazy, and yes the back is so bad sometimes lol. Other than that I'm doing fine, just feel like I'm about to pop. Hopefully, we both don't have our babies on superbowl Sunday. Even tho it would be a nice day 02, 02, 2020.

I was 2 centimetres for about 5 weeks I don't think it's going to give you any indication

i gave birth that same day but my water had already broke and then i was at 2

I was 2cm dialated for about 3 weeks with both mine, it’s not a good indicator in my opinion, just means your body is getting ready.

Well they have tv in the delivery room...not sure if you’ll be able to get the Super Bowl channel but babies don’t always come on any scheduled timeline lol

I was over 2cm dilated at my 40 week appointment and like 90 percent effaced. I ended up being induced the day before 41 weeks. I had slight contractions all that week but baby girl just didn't want to make her appearence. So it's really hard to know.

Depends if it is your first or not. They will not let you go over 41 weeks. If it is not your first you can walk around for a week at 2 cm....sometimes more. Honestly screw the football game the baby's health is more important.

I was 1 cm dilated for a week and then had some serious signs the night before my water broke. If it’s your first you’re most likely going to go past your due date so hope that puts you at ease

I was at a 3 for almost 2 weeks.

I was at 3.5 for about 2 weeks :/

I was 2cm when I had my sweep went into labour on that day

Did you have to schedule the sweep or did they do it the day you requested?

It was my second one, they book a date to do one for you if the first doesn't work they book it again for a week later, they said to me if after the third I'd have to ring in to be induced

With my first I was dilated 3cm when labor finally started for me and she was born at 40w2d. My second I was induced at 39 weeks dilated to 3cm. This time I'm 38 weeks and dilated 2cm so far. My guess is you'll probably go over by a few days, but honestly there's no real way to say. I wish there was, I'm so ready for my baby to be here lol.

I was the same and my baby came on his due date. I dont know if it actually helped but I did alot of walking, stretching and "adult time" with my boyfriend to try to get the process going. Lol

I had my daughter at 39+5, my last Dr. appt before labor they said I was 1 cm and 80% effaced, the day before I went into labor I felt so bad in the morning, nothing sounded good and I just felt blegh. My water started leaking at 430 the next morning and 14 hours later I had my baby girl. It all depends on your body on if you’ll be early or not, my gf and I both gave birth early to our first kids and I know someone that’s already a week over their due date with their second so there’s no saying 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was 1 cm for weeks until they induced me at 41 weeks. The doc even tried to dilate me more but my water never broke

I walked around contracting and dilated to 2 at 80% effaced for two weeks before being induced.

I was at 3 centimeters for 2 weeks and ended up being induced 5 days after my due date. Everyone is different though. My husband would be the same way about not having the baby on Sunday! 😂

Everyone is different but I too was at least one centimeter dilated for a few weeks before going into labor... good luck!

I was 1.5-2 at my 38 week visit. I think it really varies.

From about 35 weeks to my son being born a week late, I was at 4cm.

I didnt realize cramps was part of labor lol 😂 keep walking 🚶🏼 and eating spicy 🌶 foods! She/he will be here in no time I went 5 days later than due date because i got my mucos plug pulled. If u see a mucos plug its coming i bet within the next day or so❤️

Someone told me to eat eggplant to move stuff along... ironically I had a bunch of it to eat for lunch the day I went into labor lol

My mother told me the same thing!

I’ll be 39 weeks tomorrow and I want my baby girl to be born on Sunday because 02/02/2020 is a palindrome (same forwards and backwards)! It’ll be the luckiest day of the year and it would be a super cool birthday!

No guesses but my son was born on superbowl Sunday! 🤣 3 years ago on feb 5th!

Everyone’s different! I was at a 1 when they checked me at 38.5 weeks and my water broke that night!

I was 1 cm at 37 weeks at 10 am, by 3 am that evenin/morning I had my baby soooo 🤦🏻‍♀️

Effacement is a better indicator than dilation! Did your dr say how effaced you were? Also if it’s your first baby, it’s typical for your body to take awhile to start labor (not saying it definitely will, but it’s normal! My midwives - at a well-known research university hospital - said the average first time mom gives birth at 41w3d). I was at 3cm and 60% effaced for a couple weeks with my first and then was induced at 41w5d (their cut off for healthy pregnancies is 42w). 🤷🏻‍♀️ So it’s really hard to say! Walking and doing Spinning Babies exercises helps get baby in an optimal position and might help move things along more quickly! Good luck!

I was 1.5 at 38 weeks, 2 at 39 and 40. I was only 4 when my contractions started at 40 and 3 days. Baby will come when he/she is ready. Sorry if your husband has to miss 1 super bowl Sunday. 😁 Maybe baby coming on Sunday will be good luck!

Keep walking walking walking... and bend over when taking breaks. And when u sit and cant get up right away and ur breathing changes it's time...

My contractions felt like cramps. That's all I got my labor was super fast. Wasnt displayed at all, then over night was in active labor and baby was born in under 3 hours. Not the norm for first time pregnancy.

Burn sage and let the smoke up your area for 10 minutes! My water broke the next morning and I was 38 weeks pregnant and a week away from my due date! Apparently it’s a middle east tradition and it works!! I’ve tried everything and I mean everything. Good luck!! 🍀

Or if can tolerate it.... sex

At 39.4 I was 3cm. Was induced the next day but doctor predicted I wouldn't have gone past due date as it was. First pregnancy.

Everybody is different. The only that can help you is walk a lot and exercise for dilated... Good luck 🍀

Everyone is crazily different. I went from 1cm to 10cm in about ten minutes. I gave birth in 27 minutes. Unfortunately, there's just no knowing how long it'll take

Me too. I dilated so quick. Midwife wasnt expecting for it to happen until next morning but I had the baby with no time for painkillers .

Definitely get walking! I refused to sit down, it wasn't comfortable but it seemed to get things moving for me. Good luck mama ❤️

Remind him hospitals have TVs.. and you’ve been carrying his beloved offspring so he can be a teensy bit inconvenienced, no? You can scream together. Him at the TV 😉 Babies have their own agenda. Turns out they can’t read your birth plan. I stayed at 2 for a month.. and some people deliver fast and early.. so you never know. Just enjoy what you can when you can, because that’s parenthood. Get ready for all kinds of things not going how you planned (ahem, hubby too).

Every baby is different honestly I got four and all different my first at 39 weeks at the drs I was 2 cm and that night I have him. My second I walked around for weeks at 2cm and she had to be induced at 40 weeks. My third I wasn’t dilated at my appointment Monday 39 weeks but Friday night I had her. And my fourth they never checked me at 39 weeks appointment and I had her 4 days later.

You want this to happen sooner, orgasm ALOT! All it took was masturbating twice in one day and I had my son that night.

I went from 3 cm to 10 in about 5 hours while I was waiting for the doctors to give me Pitocin, turns out they didn’t need to induce me, my body was having that babe!

Walk up A LOT of stairs... I was at the hospital (a nurse advise me to do so)...so I walked up 10 flights of stairs and dilated another 1cm

Definitely pretty soon !

Thank you all for your responses!!!💓💓 Still havent had the little guy, still snug in my stomach. I will definitely do what was recommended and let you know when he's born!🙆‍♀️

Well walking, wide hips!! Sex... Just stay positive. And good luck!! Hope all goes well, keep us updated! Xxxx

Everyone is so different unfortunately! I was dilated at 3cm for almost 2 weeks. Ended up in labor for 15.5 hours and pushed for less than 10 minutes.
