No iPad/TV during the week and only for an hour at a time during the weekend. Though I will admit to giving him extra tv tome during particularly difficult days during the work week. š Heās 3.
Phones maybe once in a blue moon. Tv time maybe 2 hours a day mainly at night when we want to all settle down.
4 year old a half hour (I know thatās long) and my 2 year old 15 minutes tops...the 10 month old gets no time lol
I was becoming pretty lax about it, especially after having my son, I often needed to turn it on for my 3 year old, so my son could nap. However, I didnāt like the person she was becoming š she was becoming addicted to it...so now she only gets to watch it a couple times a week. I also started making her sit and do some learning activities with me for 20 min before she gets any tv time.
I got the tablets when my oldest two kids were two and three years old. It was fine because their Attention span wasnāt very long so they would get tired of it at about 15 minutes. At four and five their attention span is much longer and i would say ok only 30 min...the only problem is they canāt tell time and would say that was so short and would freak out if I took them away!! Soooo I ālost themā for about two months now and guess what!! Itās amazing they sit through dinner and eat and talk to us and they play all day with their toys and draw for long stretches!!! They ask very rarely and I say remember I canāt find them š¤·š»āāļø and they say oh yeah and run off and play...the first few days were hard but now after two months itās the best decision Iāve made!!
My sons two and he only uses the tablet for games that teach him his shapes and numbers, heās a bit behind on his development and has problems with his hearing so these apps help him learn, he doesnāt go on it for long as he cant concentrate on one thing at a time x
My baby is 9 months she loves the iPad but she only plays baby learning games or Iāll put her favourite shows on YouTube
15-25 min a day! Only educational apps
Our kids get their tablets in the vehicle when we go on trips or out of town somewhere but they don't get them at home or in stores not normally restaurants either unless we know it's a very long wait but we sneak them in without them knowing so they only get them after getting antsy and tv they are allowed to have on in any room they are because they seriously never sit and watch it they only like the noise and are continually playing. There are times I go check on them and they have the news on and no clue it isn't a kids show because they are playing away so I don't feel a need to say no to tv or limit time
Ok Iām going to be completely honest! Lol our oldest gets to be on electronics after he reads and does his chores and as long as his attitude is ok then Iām not too concerned with how long. With our 3 1/2 year old I got really relaxed and used it to keep him occupied so I could get stuff done and then it turned in to him wanting to do it all day everyday. It became a battle so right now we are having electronic free time. Our youngest doesnāt watch any.
As long as Iām able to get what I need to get done & keep my peace of mind, I allow them to have their tablets! They have educational games, Netflix, Hulu, etc. BUT, they also play outside & get dirt too. Theyāre 2 & 5. Both boys .
I donāt keep track of it to be honest, but he definitely doesnāt have it all day. He has learned a great deal from educational videos and games.
Our five year old gets maybe an hour of media a day, but during school he wonāt be having any during the week. Our nine month old wonāt be having any media until age three or four.
I only let them on the iPad when we are on long car rides .. if they have been good I might reward them with it every once and awhile

I gave my 2 year old my old iPhone. I set the limit to 2 hours for all day. She watches educational videos in different languages and I have educational apps for her to play.
I think we use tv quite a lot given our daughter is only 18m. Mostly to distract for things like hair brushing, teeth brushing, even getting dressed if my 18m old is being particularly cranky/dramatic about it. So Iād say weekdays itās probably 5-30 minutes per day, more during teething usually we will cuddle if sheās having a rough evening. My husband turns the tv on when he gets home with her after work until I arrive an hour later but he doesnāt usually put kids stuff on, itās just background noise (home Reno or cooking shows usually) and Iām not sure how much she pays attention to that. Weekends depends on the weather and what activities we have but itās probably 2h-3h/day total of tv just relaxing & cuddling in the morning and after nap. iPad is pretty much only used for playing music and FaceTime with grandma, occasionally for a long car ride Iād put a show on. I expect when my second arrives there will be more tv in the short term while we adjust. I doubt there will be more tablet time.
My daughter is only 7 months but I do let her watch tv. Paw patrol, my little pony. Usually just to keep her occupied while I cook and clean but not for long cause she gets bored lol.
No more than an hour at a time. No more than a couple times a day.
