Bio oil is a keeper used it on baby’s cradle cap gone in a day, my extra dry skin all better, it helped with pigmentation and improving skin overall postpartum.

I was terrible and didn’t use anything when I was pregnant with twins. I have zero stretch marks. I seriously believe it’s genetics!

I used bio oil from as soon as I found out I was pregnant and didn’t get any stretch marks

Keep your tummy moisturised! Bio oil is very good 👍, also beware of certain material that might make your tummy itchy (itching causes stretch marks)

You can’t prevent stretch marks because they occur in the dermal layer and the deepest layer any oil or lotion goes is to the epidermal layer. Almond oil penetrates the deepest and that can’t prevent them. I used every oil imaginable religiously through my whole pregnancy and still got giant stretch marks all around my hips and belly. My mom and mother in law never got any. It definitely depends on your skin type, and no they absolutely cannot be prevented due to where they occur in the body. The oils help with the burning pain though.

Neal's Yard mothers balm is NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING! I'm 39 in my second pregnancy and suffer with very dry skin and I use this balm twice a day EVERY DAY I'm now 38 weeks and nothing yet. It's not cheap but it goes a long way. I honestly 100% recommend it.

I did not use any oils during pregnancy and I did not get any, a lot is genetics..

I used both together in my first pregnancy & it worked. I’m currently using it now and it seems to be working. 🙏🏾

I just used the cocoa butter and never had 1 stretch mark. I think some ppl can't prevent them though bc it's hereditary. What I would do is gain slowly by eating healthy and stay hydrated! Stretch marks heal really good if you do get them. I have a good ol c section scar that is healing great with bio oil and c section massage!

It all depends on your body really, I don't think anything really works. I tried bio oil for a wk early on, but I hated the oily feeling on my skin so I gave it away. Then I didn't bother with anything else. I just use my normal body lotion as I always have and don't really have any stretch marks. I'm 35wks now and can only see about 6 light marks.

I used the cocoa butter for stretch marks as in your pic, it was brilliant, just make sure if you rub it in with both hands that you cross over as I rubbed so far with left and so far with right and ended up with some in the middle at the bottom where I obviously didn’t rub it in 🤦🏻‍♀️ I think it depends on your body though as if you’re going to get them, you will regardless x

I use both of these. As people have said it's more of a genetics thing so Ive got them but it has massively helped with the itching of them

I love Bio Oil

Yeah If you google medical literature from PubMed or ncbi they all state that randomized control studies show no difference with the use of bio oil or coconut oil. although I'm sure it doesn't hurt

Been using a mix of those 2 products since 12 wks. I'm 32wks now and no stretch marks yet. Although apparently its all genetic. I use the aldi mamia baby lotion on myself for rest of body and find it great

I've used bio oil for both pregnancies but I use it as a kind of serum then I use a cream right now clarins stretch mark minimizer. So far so good were 35 weeks on my second pregnancy but who knows I'll know for sure after baby comes :p

I have been taking the Bio-oil and mixing it in the lotion for awhile now. I went from 315 to 198 in the last two years, and my stretch marks are almost gone. Love those two and how they work together.

I used 3 layers of moisturizers and oils almost every single night but it didn't prevent me from getting stretch marks - I have a ton now! My mom also has a lot so I believe it when people say it's genetic!

I used both of these and still got marks but I do believe they would have been worse if I didn’t keep them moisturised

I used bio oil and didn't get a single stretch mark, however I'm not sure it was product over luck in genetics as I don't think my mum got any. I also exfoliated it and sometimes used face serums by the ordinary that I had.

If it runs in your family you will get them. I’ve used both and I still got stretch marks . But It will keep your skin hydrated

Runs in my family and luckily didn't get any in both pregnancies just depends on on how much your skin stretches

I used the butter and other brand for stretch marks and got none. It worked for me

I use neutrogena elasti-boost. Science works, stretch marks are caused by lack of elastine in your skin. Add extra, less stretch marks. Worked for me both times.

Theyve renamed it, but it's the same stuff Neutrogena Visibly Renew Body Lotion, 400ml https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UG8OJMG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_0DWRG1JH7TWTZPJGGXSE

Hi Liz, Have you got a link for this?

I tried using bio oil and it gave me horrible reactions.. i would get uncontrollable itch and red hives all over my tummy to the point where I couldn’t go to sleep. And i noticed it only happened when I’d apply bio oil. So I stopped using it. But it’s just my experience. I didn’t have reactions with Palmer’s though. Also yea it’s genetics. I never had stretch marks until 35 weeks.

I am using mink and castor oil and no stretch marks for now and I'm 35weeks.

None work it's either you have stretch marks or you don't you can't really avoid it

I used everything under the sun multiple times a day and I look like a road map If your going to get then your going to get them its genetics and to do with the elasticity of your skin I just found they helped stopping my belly from itching xx

I used pure Almond oil 2 times a day and exfoliated my stomach every day with a sugar scrub. I never got any stretch marks on my stomach even though it got very big at one stage. However on my thighs I got hundreds as I didn't do that process there.

Ye I’m the same. I’ve used bio oil and palmers and I’ve got loads of stretch marks! I’m still persevering with it though. Hoping not to get any more 🤞🏻

Agree If your gonna get them your gonna get them!! Think it’s to do with your skin type. I used bio oil from day dot with my first and then got to 34 weeks and bam I was covered!! Xxx

Ive used both ever since i got pregnant and i have bo stretch mark so guess it works!

Nothing will stop stretch marks appearing as they are a natural reaction to your skin stretching. But I found that using Aveeno has helped so much with the dryness that comes with it and the itching, And my skin looks and feels super smooth!. I found bio oil stayed quite wet and made my skin itch more

I’m 36 weeks and only just starting to see stretch marks on my hips and lower stomach

I used bio oil everyday, sometimes twice a day. I didnt have a single stretch mark until 32 weeks and now I am covered in them, I don't think you can prevent them unless you are really lucky xx

I use both of the above, the butter on a morning and bio oil on a night. I was the same, one stretch mark and now I’m just about to hit 33 weeks and I’ve got a good few on my stomach and some appearing on my inner thigh! Genetics plays a part too x

I used bio oil my first pregnancy and no stretch marks 👍🏻

I started using Trilastin in the morning because it is not greasy and bio oil during the night. I'm 28 weeks and no stretch marks yet.

It is a stretch mark prevention cream. It's on Amazon if you search it up:)

What is Trilastin

I'm 14 weeks and haven't used anything. Should I be? Anyone else done/doing it all natural?

I used nothing for my first no stretch marks at all, used nothing with me second and have a few stretch marks. I suppose it depends on each individuals body x

I used this with my first. No stretch marks, and again with my second. I have stretch marks on my hips/ slightly top of legs. So I just stopped using it and switched to real Shea butter. My skin feels better and stays moisturised for longer.

I used the cocoa butter and still do and I haven’t got one!!xx

Same here.

I used this Thena Mother's glow body oil everytime my belly got itchy, and twice a day. It was awesome. I still use it post partum after he is a year old. From Amazon.

B proud of ur stretch marks

Keep in natural. Mix Shea butter, avocado oil, coconut oil etc

I used palmers cocoa butter my entire first pregnancy, and made it out with zero stretch marks. I’m currently 30 weeks with my second and have used it 1-3 times daily and I haven’t noticed anything yet.

I have used the same things and I ended up with no stretch marks at all. Also I tried this one because in the end I was sick of the smells of the cocoa butter and the bio oil so I needed something nicer. This one also helped with the back pain I assume because of the essential oils. Green Pharmacy Body Massage Essential Oil Anti-cellulite Cypress Juniper Lavender Lime Natural Oils 200 ml https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00H3GLXOQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2AJ2WB2N89M2E9Y5KFMM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I mainly used coconut oil. I’ve had 3 babies & only have 1 small stretch mark whichni got on my last pregnancy. But my mum didn’t get any either so I agree it tends to be hereditary x

I used palmers the whole time - multiple times a day- no visible stretch marks. My sister did not- lots of stretch marks.

USE IT ALL!

I had my son in October and my belly had very red stretch marks. Now it looks like this after 3 weeks almost 4 of bio oil and that same lotion! 2x 3x a day

It's all in the genetics

Don't scratch your growing belly when is itches just moisturiser it

I just used the normal cocoa butter in the jar and don't have a single stretch mark.
