Question for entrepreneur Moms

Hi! Ever since I got pregnant I have experienced first hand how women are viewed in the workplace. It’s very discouraging and I am weighing my options of what to do post maternity leave. It seems there’s many moms here that have branched out into entrepreneurship and I’m just looking for pointers. How did you get started? What do you do? Why did you choose it? How did you handle things like health insurance? And any pointers for someone like me interested in building their own thing? (Not interested in MLM’s) I am a single mom in San Diego so I need to bring in a nice amount of money to be stable and quit my job. I know this can take time but I have 9 months to get things rolling. :) Thanks!

I have been working from home for 3 years now and love it. I think us mamas are capable of doing whatever we wish to do. Nothing really stops us 😉 we want something, we go for it! I remember when I put my 2 weeks notice at my last corporate job. I was scared. But I knew what I wanted. At the time I was working so much that I only got to see my son enough time st home to feed him, bathe him and put him to sleep. That brought tears to my eyes daily 😔 it hit me hard when he told his teacher that my favorite thing to do was “work” 💔 That was it. I decided to work from home and use all my time to be with him. It turned out to be better for my family because not only did I gain back my time with them but my residual income tripled and continues to grow 🙌 I work when he’s asleep or at school. This has transformed our family’s lifestyle overall because we are not always in a rush or always tired, get better sleep, we eat healthier, we spend more time together. And now I’m working at retiring my husband 🥰

I chose my business because it has the best comp plan. Then after I started using the products- I’m on them for life. They’ve helped my son with asthma. Me with pcos, anxiety, weight loss, etc. my mom with rheumatoid etc.

Another network marketing Mum here! Best decision I have ever made. I work with so many like minded mums and we have a great time all while working around our kids. But I do agree with some of the other comments, you need to find a company and product you are passionate about otherwise it won’t work. I’m happy to share info on my company if you want to send me an email: naomi.rogers.jp@gmail.com

Hi all! I am kind of clueless but this thread interested me; what are examples of Network Marketing (companies I can look into) and some examples of MLM; what is a MLM? I’d like some back up info to look into this myself and my family but I don’t want to get overwhelmed by googling everything. TIA!

MLM= Multi-Level Marketing. Companies like ITWorks, Advocare, HerbaLife, Amway. Network Marketing: Scentsy, doTerra, Monat. I would say you just need to find something you are passionate about. When you do that it makes it easier to get up and go hard for it. If you’d like some info on my company you can email me: keytylett@gmail.com and I can send you some info ♥️

Hello! I know I’m late to the party but I agree with the mamas who are in Network Marketing. It’s actually the industry I’m in as well and I’ve also been subjected to MLM’s and it’s COMPLETELY different. It’s much more fulfilling and there is a lot of an opportunity for you to help people. The industry I’m in is actually changing peoples lives and there is nothing more fulfilling than that. It’s the greatest thing I could’ve ever done and I’m so thankful for God to have been given this opportunity to help others change their lives
