Help I’m so worried 19+2 week bump

Hi all this is my 19 week bump and I feel like I’m barely growing 😩 I’ve felt no movement and not seen my belly move at all. I know bumps come in all shapes and sizes but as I was a 6/8 I really thought I would be showing more by now. Is this normal??

Yep honey it’s normal. Every one shows differently, apparently first baby can take longer to show because your abs are tighter. I didn’t feel anything until 20 weeks in regards to movements.

I had less bump at my 20 weeeks. My bump was shrinking and growing till I was 34 weeks pregnant. Some days I felt I wasnt pregnant at all. I also had anterior placenta so I couldn't really feel the movements sometimes for days. My baby is 3 months old :)

I would speak to you midwife better to be safe and out you mind at ease too

When I saw her at 16 weeks she wasn’t at all concerned xx

That's fab ❤️ my midwife is guna hate me because I am so anxious I would just ask all the time to ease my mind xx

I was a size 6/8 and i didnt show for ages either. Im now 27 weeks and have really grown in the last 2-4 weeks. Everyones bodies are different x

Thank you it’s nice to hear that other people have been in the same boat xx

Depends if its your first baby, usually wont feel baby move until past 20 weeks. Bumps come in all shapes and sizes. I have gained an average amount and im someone who has a small bump but weight goes all over for me. I was a 6 before pregnancy this time.

It’s my first baby and on my first scan they mentioned I had very tight stomach muscles don’t know if that plays a part! Thank you for reassurance

My abdominal muscles were very tight and my doctor said that would make me show less. As long as baby is measuring normally, no need to worry about the size of your bump!

I’m 19+2 and also barely showing 🤷🏻‍♀️ are you tall? I’m 5’10 so I think that’s part of the reason. I only felt baby move for the first time yesterday and I’d been worrying about it too so did loads of googling and it seems that that’s normal too. If you’re worried it won’t hurt to speak to your midwife. Good luck! 😌

Yes I’m tall aswell 5’10 too! Ahhh thank you. We’re considering booking a well-being scan private just to reassure me!

When your 6/8 you mainly bloated. I’ve only started seeing my belly move at 21 weeks. I’m also small framed too. I still have my thigh gap. My fella took a naked photo of me at the same stage with our daughter and I look totally different this time. My boobs are different and my bump is a different shape. There’s no we’re near as much movement but I’m hoping I’ve just got a more chilled kid this time 🤞🤣Xx

Enjoy every little moment! I was small too.. I'm 35 weeks and still small. Everyone is different it's ok.

It depends on your height too!! I’m only 4’11. And looked just bloated up until week 18 or so. For movement I just started feeling her move around week 20. And I agree with the comment above! Or even if you satisfy whatever craving you’re having they’ll definitely be doing a happy dance! I’m a coffee drinker 🙈been trying to monitor it and whenever I have coffee I always feel her wiggle around 😅you got this mama! Everyone’s bump is different and journey!! ❤️

Totally normal hunny, I didn’t feel my little man until 20 weeks x

Movement will first be felt between 16-25 weeks.

I didn’t feel proper movement until maybe 23 weeks and at my 20 week scan I barely had a bump, probably less than you do! No one was concerned at all and at my scan they said it’s very normal 😊xx

Totally normal. Your baby’s position, the placement of your placenta, and your own skeletal shape - not weight - can impact how big you look and how much you feel movement wise. Totally normal.

If first the ability to see the bump is controlled by how strong your stomach muscles are. So doesn't mean you don't have the same bump you just can't see it through the muscle. This is my second but I workout a lot and I was tiny until about 25 weeks. Now my tummy muscles have given in and looks like I have a bowling ball down there 😂 x

Also movement can be influenced by location of the placenta. My first was posterior so I felt him early, this one is anterior (at the front) so acts as a cushion, felt him a bit later because of that x

Oh my! Reminds me of that show I didn’t know I was pregnant. How crazy !!!!

I didn’t fully get a bump till around 8 months then had her a week later x

My bump didn’t really pop till about 20+ weeks and I didn’t feel any movement till then either. Movement can come between 20-24 apparently so don’t worry too much

Oh you'll grow don't worry about that. First baby always smaller but you'll grow

I found it hard when I was about the same as you, was sure there was something wrong as wasn’t growing and no movement. I haven’t had a big growth spell until 26-28 weeks and have an anterior placenta so took longer to feel more, so try not to compare yourself, it will happen just may take more time. Xx

I’m 32 weeks. My bump didn’t start showing til 28. If I’m wearing clothes it’s barely noticeable.

Don’t freak out. That is what my belly looked like at 19 weeks pregnant too

I didn’t fully show until I hit 9 months

Girly you are barely halfway through! You still have another 20 weeks left and it'll be double the size like no need to worry!

I didn't show until I was 6 months. Baby hid good in there. Wasn't until the last few weeks I got big ! No worries

Thank you all for your reassurance!! I’m feeling much better after seeing and hearing about all your early bumps too! Thank you girls 💕💕💕

Man I'm glad I found this post cos I'm kinda the same. My bump is small and feels like it's growing slowly. I too was a 6 to 8 prior to pregnancy so I thought I'd stick out but its slow progress. Im not too bothered about how I look but more if my baby is ok. But these posts are helpful. Thank you all for sharing 😊
