My boobies were so filled up…..I had to pump a lot

I drank the milk supply tea and lots of oatmeal

@Kerrianne how many times should/can you power pump a day?

I pump every 4-5 hours! I worked out honestly and just ate in a regular. I exclusively pumped around 64ozs a day! I’m able to feed twins literally 😩. Be consistent I would say is the key.

Do you pump at night? I've heard prolactin levels are highest between 3 am and 6 am, so you could try and fit in a pump between then? Think of your baby while pumping and, search for a pumping or breastfeeding meditation on YouTube, if you've ever breastfed and taken a video watch it while you pump. Might help in triggering that part of the brain that sends signals to your breasts to make more milk, nothing does that like your baby remember, good luck x

@Daniela wow I would have never guessed. A hidden gem!!! This drink has been my favorite growing up and even now 🤍🤍

I'm seeing alot of great advice in here most if the comments is what I would say. I'm a mom and a doula and a lactation consultant in the fort hood area. And I used a fenugreek free product line called Legandairy Milk along with increasing calories, hydration and protien. Also try power pumping for 1 hour it's usually done by pumping 10 minutes on and ten minutes off for one hour. It's most effective if done in the morning or at night. Although there are other ways to power pump. But as soon as Milk supply is where you want it stop power pumping because you don't want to over produce (it can hurt to over produce)

My milk supply decreased this past 1-2 weeks and I was advised by my lactation nurse to try “Plenty of Milk” herbal drops. I got it off Amazon. I’m on my 2nd day of using it. Hope to see it increase soon. Has anyone here tried it or heard of it ?

@Daniela What is that? And where could I get it from?

@Meredith what is it?

@Ema Elvie Curve made me a LOT happier!

Power pumping was very helpful for me.

@Daniela where do u buy this ?

For me - blue Gatorade and coconut water (I couldn't stand cw at first so I mixed them), oats, oat milk. It doesn't help will milk production but does help it come out - sunflower lecithin... There's soy lecithin in cookies which also works!

Eat lots of protein and oats, drink plenty of water and get as much rest as you can. Massage your breast while you pump. Skin to skin or have your babies scent while you pump helps too. Make sure you’re relaxed while pumping. You could even try power pumping.

Your milk supply looks great! Keep doing an amazing job mama. Milky mama products always helped me my favorite are the brownies

Oatmeal makes you happy full & pumping in no time ☺️

Depending on how far into your journey you are, it depends on what you can do. I mean the key things are to •Hydrate, hydrate and HYDRATE 😂 • you can power pump (20 mins on,10 off 10 on) every 2-3 hours. • some people have found lactation cookies/treats have helped. •oats are quite good as they will help you maintain energy. •I personally found that using my Hakkaa on the opposite side helped me build a supply up for the freezer.

For me was a smoothie fibre drink from AquaSourse

Fenugreek decreased my supply. I am 8 months in and still pump every 3-4 hours. we combo-feed, My supply has remained the same since about 6 weeks in. I am fortunate enough to work from home part-time, this is my first babe, and committed to him having breast milk For a year and it works for us. I've tried Gatorade, body armor, gallons of water and oats.... our lactation specialist said there really isn't food or supplement to increase supply, I tend to agree because Nothing truly increased my supply. The Pediatrician said my supply is my supply.

Eggs 😁 I had eggs in some form every day for like 3 weeks and now my supply is higher than I need (as my LG has started weaning)

Tons of water & oatmeal! Anything oats really helping I ate kodiak protein pancakes whenever I felt like I could use a boost

Increase calories , foods high in fatty oils avocados and salmon, body armor, gallon of water, oatmeal and oatmilk before bed.

Don’t do anything with Fenugreek it works for some but decrease mother’s supply too drink anything with electrolytes eat oatmeal drink body armor and drinks lots of water

Pumping every hour for one day a week increase my supply when it dips. Lots of water, milk cookies and nettle tea!

Power pumping lots of water and oatmeal every other day. I also pump at least 4 times a day whether its a haaka or a electric pump or my hands free pump

I didn't get on with Haakaa, any other easy pumps others have had good experience with?

Use a hakka when nursing and drink drink drink ( water, Gatorade). Make sure you eat enough. Every time you pump or nurse have water and a snack. Also if you empty both breast at the same time it helps a lot.

Pump in the morning. Set a 2 hour alarm on your phone or watch to “pump soon.” HYDRATE. I like liquid iv. Take a post natal with DHA. Nutrition is key. I like to juice all kinds of fruit and veggies. Light exercise can help. Pump before the shower, before the gym. And maybe the most important, pump somewhere familiar and stress free. Relax and look at your baby (or pictures and maybe smell a blanket)

Oats, and fenugreek supplements, mothers milk tea and lots of water ! X

Drink Tons of water. Pump often & until empty then add a couple mins. I also like the upflow drinks and eating oatmeal balls- it helps to hit the calories that are needed to pump. I pump 5-6 times a day and about 60-75 oz. I take sunflower lecithin to help with clogs & pumping faster.

Mothers milk tea helped me. Very string flavor so I would add honey. I tried some of the cookies, gummy bears etc but personally didn’t care for the price or the taste.

Are you pumping through the night? Or 2-3 hours during the day only. 2-5am your body releases more prolactin when you pump therefore boosting your supply.

Yasss girl

Are you breastfeeding too? That really stimulates everything. I pumped that often and again after every feeding. So I basically had porn boobs for a year 🤣

Oats (I tend to make flapjacks), also if it's taking you a while to express a little, check the size of cup for the pump you are using. E.g. standard sizes are 21mm and 24mm, whereas I use a lot smaller of 17mm (shoukd really get the 15mm though as it's still a bit big).

My milk had gone to 1oz a day expressing only. I have been on Motilium for 5 weeks now, the supply now is up to 12-15oz (expressing) a day and night time breastfeeding. I m weaning off the pills next week and hopefully the supply will be the same!

I have a low supply and just ordered this! I pump 12-13oz a day. I’m hoping this ups me to 20 or more a day! I’ve seen it work for so many

Where do you get it? Do you have to be prescribed? X

Does help with production but help save every drip: hakaa let down collectors. Instead of wasting milk in nursing pads I use collectors so every drip is useful!

Hakka are the best!

Relaxation helps a lot 😅

Yeah that rarely happens with a newborn lol

Body armor drink

Blue Gatorade! And the Haakaa! I froze over 200oz in a month just from using it

Oh man ! I have the hakaa and love it but I can only use it when I’m not nursing ! Still trying to figure out a good position.

My lactation consultant recommended Motherlove Moringa supplements and they work! Also, google lactation cookie recipes. And if you’re craving an adult beverage... a milk stout produced a full cup in one session (both breasts)... just make sure to wait 2-3 hours.

Lots of water! And by "lots" I mean at least a gallon a day

Pumping after 2am when prolactin hormone is at its highest 👌

Lately I've been pumping every 2-3 hours and then nursing my son for 10-15 minutes on each boob after I pump (I usually feed him a bottle an hour before I pump so I don't count it as a feeding more like a little snack

I make lactation bites and use some of the legendairy milk products. I’ve seen a dramatic increase after pumping 8 times a day and using the products. It’s a lot of work and very exhausting but so worth it.
