Ik that dimo & crissy did on Dominic their son. An it seemed to work great for him. Before you ask they use to b a famous lesbian YouTube couple. When you have the time go search for their video of them taking their son to the doctor about his. Also the vloged about it a couple times saying how it was working an everything. Hope that helps a little😘

If baby doesn’t have a flat spot yet I highly recommend using a baby carrier as prevention since it’s usually caused by laying too much.

We haven’t used one, but my sisters baby and a good friend of mine did. It worked wonders!

Here they do that as a last resort...we went to physio first because my babe was favoring laying one way and it was because of neck tightness. They gave us stretches and had us basically lay her on her back as little as possible. She never needed the helmet because that solved it.

My little boy had to wear a helmet for about 10 months. Kids can end up with helmets for many reasons and not just from “laying too much”. My son had torticollis which prevented him from moving his head freely from side to side. He had to wear a helmet and get PT and I can honestly say that those two things worked wonders for him. He is now helmet free with a beautiful round head.

My son also has torticollis and is going to PT and they just brought up the helmet last session.

I am in this same situation as we speak. My son has torticollis. and is going to PT and getting a helmet. How old was he when he got the helmet and how long did he have to wear it?

Okay, so my son has a flat spot. He’s 5 months. His doctor hasn’t said anything about it (I plan to bring it up), but I saw this picture of Chrissy’s baby and was wondering if my son should have one..? Does anyone know?

Thank you!

My daughter has Craniosynostosis and she almost had to wear a helmet. I’m part of a Facebook group for Cranio parents and there are several parents that chose for their child to wear helmets and they all have success stories for them.

My daughter wore a helmet for a couple months ( shes always had a big head) if helped alot but then her head size grew back and we found out she had hydrocephalus so I am not sure if he helmet even helped her.... lol

My 5 month old son is about to get his helmet. He is doing physical therapy as well they think he has torticollis and has been to the neurologist yesterday for an ultrasound of his brain. It’s been a rough week needless to say but the helmet is said to work wonders.

I have worked in the infant room for 17 years. We have had a handful of kids come through that needed helmets and I have one now that is on the watchlist for helmet due to tortecolis and a flat head on one side. We are correcting that by feeding the child on the opposite side forcing the child to look the way it normally does not like to. as far as the helmets go they are wonderful and they really do work wonders on a child’s shape of their head and you get a bonus if they are crawling around it acts as a crash helmet LOL.

2 /3 of my kids did. Both used it for 5 weeks I believe. Thing is amazing !

My daughter is using one now👌🙌

Yep if my friends babies have worn one and they have the best shaped heads now! Think you have to pay for it though. It’s not something the NHS cover.

Our insurance covered ours 🙌

My son did physical therapy to help with his stiff neck and also wore a helmet when he was a baby. I felt like the helmet did help but didn't correct the problem completely. Its much better than it was and my son is doing great now :)

We used one for 8 weeks (started at 4 months old) and it helped a LOT. He had a pretty bad flat spot on one side and it helped correct the asymmetry by about 90%. Still isn’t perfect but now he will be able to wear glasses and helmets in the future with no issues.

We get ours next week

Felt like I had to add a comment regarding more serious conditions that result in an oddly-shaped head. Do NOT delay seeing a doctor if your child’s head looks a little off. My son had craniosynostosis and at 6 months had major surgery to correct fused sutures in his skull. It’s rare, and many skull shapes can be fixed using helmets, but it CAN be more serious, leading to problems with brain development, and many people (even the docs) can be unaware of cranioosynostosis. Thanks for listening, I try to raise awareness whenever I can :) x
