Wine to UnWind 🍷😔

Anyone else absolutely exhausted by the end of the day, and not sure how to unwind? By the time I’ve gotten out of the door, dropped my son off at school, gone to work, collected him, done bedtime, and my partner gets in, I feel like the only thing I want to do is crack open the wine. Is it ok to be drinking wine every night?! Anyway, sometimes I feel like it's just me in the endless routine, and wondered what y'all were doing to get through it.

I don’t think one glass of wine per day is anything to worry about. One bottle per day perhaps. But if you feel guilty about it then it’s obviously not something you feel comfortable with! Would a spritzer be suitable? I found when I was drinking 1-2 glasses I didn’t like that I was drinking daily so I did half sparkling water half wine. Somehow 1/2 glass seemed fine but a whole glass made me feel guilty 😂 🤷‍♀️ it’s all in our heads isn’t it

Yep big time!! Also watch Netflix, go for a run, or just have a relaxing convo with partner or friends...I feel you about the routine it can become depressing so I like to mix it up a bit so that it doesn't feel like it's the same ol same ol.

If it's nice weather I'll take my son the park after school. I'll also bake and go for walks nearby. Once a month me and my son go on a date for tea and he chooses a place to go. We sometimes have dance parties to baby shark 🤦🏻‍♀️ and just random things to spice the routine up. I also share the same routine as you do!

Hahaha this is me every night. All I want to do at the end of the day after putting my almost three year old to bed is rush to the couch with a nice glass and be left alone for a little bit. So peaceful and must needed 🤤

I’ve been trying to lose weight, and I won’t lie I miss my wine dearly but I’ve replaced my drinking with an alternative hobby, which is knitting. It’s helped me so much. With the stress and it makes me feel whole again.

No worries about the wine! It might pass, too. I think with parenting it’s a lot of learning curves but then there are little sweet spots. Just sip the wine until you get to the next one! 🥂

Totally normal! And maybe even a bottle when the week ends haha

Prayer, drinking and yoga. Not necessarily in that order! Lol

They have beer yoga which you can also do with wine. 🤣 True story!

I have more than a glass! 😂 It doesn’t affect my parenting. In fact I swear it makes me better! 😂

Actually, it is! You can have up to two glasses of wine (5 oz pours) without it crossing over into your breast milk. Also if ever you are worried about if you’ve had too much, they have testing strips.

Is it ok for a glass or two while nursing?

I feel like this everyday. I wake up with my husband, wake the kids up after I have breakfast on the table, hubs leaves for work, I drop my eldest off at preschool and my youngest at daycare which is across town from each other, I work until I have to pick my daughter up at 12, then I do hw bc I am in school, I clean, sweep, make all beds, dishes, drying rack, laundry, fill up humidifiers, place pajamas out and clothing for them for the next morning, cook dinner, and then clean up. My husband does try to help. He truly does but most of the time I have already done it all and then I start working again. It’s a constant loop. So in my opinion drinking a glass of wine a night is NOTHING. I have tried to unwind but I truly do not know how. My brain is always thinking about what needs to be done or what I could have done better that day. It’s so frustrating.

I have more than a glass most evenings, too.

Everyone needs a release and red wine is actually healthy for you so I think as long as your not guzzling down a bottle you are so very entitled you are a mom and we have the hardest jobs!

I miss wine 😭 it's been years since I have had any. I would totally drink it every night if I wasn't allergic.

If i wasn’t up still working at 11pm, I’d be having a glass myself!!! It’s the worse when I have to catch up on work and don’t get to unwind since in a few hours The sun will be up and so will my LO. LOL

Maybe that's my problem. I need to start drinking.

If that’s what helps you relax, go for it mama! Me personally, I prefer cannabis to unwind at the end of the day 🍁

I drink wine every night , I wouldn’t recommend a whole bottle every night but hey even that’s needed sometimes 😜

A glass of wine, you’ll be fine. That’s my motto. We all deserve some time to switch off. Sounds like you need a break though-maybe you could take an hour this weekend?

Having a glass of wine is perfectly acceptable. Even if its every night. I've taken to having a beer or two almost every night and its something that I look forward to every day. Even if I've had a good day. I see it as a form of self-care.

Girl... You are fine. You have a lot going on. You aren't neglecting your child, you just need some "me time". Drink that wine in peace and relax!!

A glass 🍷 a day keeps the dr away! ❤️❤️❤️

I drink a glass almost every night. I don’t see any harm (nor does my doctor). It doesn’t affect your ability to parent. Everyone has their vices. Mibe are wine and chocolate! lol 🍷🍫
