EasyJet flight

I was initially going Qatar, travelling with Qatar airlines and the plane is quite spacious. With the ongoing war, we have changed course and going Turkey and flying with EasyJet. Has anyone travelled with an infant in easyJet - please tell me if it’s bad or good. Reviews really appreciated please.

When to Disney?

My LO is 13m, we live 3 hrs from Orlando and she LOVES music and dancing, the other day Aladdin (the original) was on and I know the words to every song so I was singing them and she was just over the moon…so for those of you who have gone to Disney, what age were your LOs when you went for the first time?

Activities with baby

I’m so tired of not finding enough things to do with my 10 month old baby boy. What do you guys do to keep them engaged. I’m not giving him any screen time actually he’s not interested either in watching tv.
Any ideas and tips what to do with them I’m so tired 😣

Keeping them entertained

I need some new ideas of things to do with my little one, any places to go, at home sensory activities or just general play ideas are welcome! Currently stuck cycling through the same few things over and over - I'm sure she doesn't mind but something different would be good for my sanity!

Travelling abroad with a 6 MO

Hello! We are planning on travelling to Spain when my little girl will be around 6/7 months old. I need tips please! She is formula fed so will be taking the pre made bottles for the flight and a tub of powder for when we are there.

Any tips on bottles/sterilising on the plane and in Spain.

Strollers (don't want to take our main pram incase it gets damaged in transit)

Any tips at all about absolutely everything to do with travelling with a baby is much appreciated. Or a checklist if anyone has one 😊

Thank you

Birthday present for boy who has it all

What can I get for my nearly three year old. His dad buys him toys all the time, he got a balance bike from my brother for hisbsecond birthday which he enjoys using every day. He has a trike and a scooter and those electric cars that you ride on.

I want ro get him something meaningful that will stay with him for all his life, not all this plastic junk thats already filling up here. He has lego up to his ears and always has clothes for christmas from me and various relatives.

Comment below on what you all think should get him.

Running

Does anyone else's child just run and move at inappropriate times? He doesn't even run away, he just runs 🤣
We go to a few clubs/toddler classes and the other children are sat with their parents and my child is just running around the hall. For 45 mins of our music class he just runs laps and back and forth across the middle of the room while everyone else sits in a circle around the edge. When we do football class he often runs laps of the hall instead of joining in with the activities.
If I try to get him to stop or force him by holding him on my lap he will kick and scream in a full melt down so I normally let him as he isn't hurting anyone and is having fun but I do wonder what the other parents think of us 🫣
Nobody else's child does this?! Is that because all the feral runners are kept away from classes or because my child really is exceptionally energetic and wild 🤣

Any idea of any books that talk about how to teach kids how to manage their emotions?

Not the take a break and breath 5 times, thats not working. My 6 year old seems to get so frustrated with authority so much even if the ask is for his benefit. Its starting to frustrate me because if he was my mother's son he would have been beat till he learnt not to show that frustration and I don't know how else to manage it. I refuse to beat my child but then what?? Breathing isn't working.

Independent play

What toys can I get for my 14 month old to play with so he will be entertainmented for more than 5 mins?
He has blocks, balls and some toys that are batter operated but he gets bored easily and wants me to play with him.
I don't want to spend a lot.
Took him the the park a few times he was scared on the swing
I also take him out to my garden in a walker, about 20 mins.

Leaving the house with 2

Those that also have toddlers, how do you leave the house easily and also my newborn wakes so easily if I’m not holding her and if she’s awake she will scream in the car seat…how do you manage journeys while they are crying? I’ve had to pull over a few times but if I’m on an A road there’s nowhere to pull over and it’s a 20 minute journey! Any advice for an anxious mama welcome :(

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Abroad holiday

I really want to go abroad -short haul max 3 hour flight but don’t know what to choose. Any recommendations of hotels somewhere that was amazing for your little ones and actually felt like a holiday.
Think we would do all inclusive too as a very fussy eater so probably easier.

Tablet for kids

Alright don’t need any negative Nancy’s telling me not to get my 2yo a tablet so if that’s what your gunna do please don’t participate in my poll.

We’re about to move cross country 3+ day trip and my 2yo and 9m hate the car I’m talking scream their heads off till they are out of their seats. We’ve already changed car seats and it didn’t help so I’d like to at least have one entertained and sit next to baby and try and distract her or put her to sleep. Our new car has tvs but since they are rear faced my 2yo can’t see it.

Debating getting her a tablet or dvd player right now on long car rides I end up giving her my phone because I get so overwhelmed sitting in between both of them screaming and crying.

And yes I do bring different toys I bring snacks I play songs try to distract her other ways but for the sake of not losing my mind on this move I think this is best.

-A very overwhelmed and anxious to move mama 😓

TODDLER SPORTS

Any moms put their toddles in little sports yet ? My baby just turned two in early February & I signed him up for soccer. He’s been in it for about a month & thriving 😩 plus it’s the cutest thing!
He’s very advanced for his age so me & hubby figured it was a good idea. It wasn’t necessarily for progression in the sport which is a plus & he is for sure progressing sooo well! It had a lot to do with providing space for him to create some independence (he is a Velcro baby to me in particular) like glued to my hip ! So wanted him to learn to interact with others smaller than him & other adults outside of immediate family. Also coordination as well as taking direction well from others, burning off some energy & opening up his mind to something new. There are some other factors but that kind of sums up my thought process.

Travel Buggy

Hi,
I will be going away to France for the Easter weekend and wondered what everyone’s thoughts were on putting my baby in a travel buggy.
He will be 5 months literally the day after we get there and I know it’s recommended to wait until they can either sit up or are 6 months old. He still cannot sit up.
Would you use a travel buggy for your just turned 5 month old if they can’t sit up or would you take the bassinet/use the car seat?
I would of course have it inclined. I’m not sure if there are any inserts I can get to help hold him more securely.

I know this has been posted to death but it’s taking me ages to go back to the posts. Any travel buggy recommendations would be great too.
Thanks!
