Trying for a baby whilst breastfeeding

Anyone else trying for a baby whilst breastfeeding? We planned on stopping breastfeeding at 1 year old if we haven't got pregnant and now that's next month's and I don't know what to do. I want to get pregnant but love breastfeeding and my son loves it too so a bit conflicted. We're desperate for another baby so the...

Does it get easier?

First time mom here, my partner just returned to work this week and it’s my first time solo parenting. We used to split the nights so we could each get 4-5 hours of sleep but I’m now doing nights alone so he can sleep before he goes to work, and also alone with the baby all day as well. Only 3 days into it and I fee...

Newborn Daytime Naps

I have a little girl (5 weeks old) and am just wondering how long everyone let’s their babies sleep for during the day. My daughter will quite happily sleep for 3-4 hours sometimes. Should I be waking her up earlier so that she’s awake for longer during the day? She is currently sleeping 4-6 hour stretches at night....

12 week and night feeds

I see so many posts on here regarding babies of a similar age sleeping through the night. My little one currently still does 2 night feeds. He is formula fed and goes to bed for 7pm and wakes up for a feed between 11:30 and 12:30pm and then again between 3-4pm. Does anyone else’s baby still wake for 2 night feeds? ...

Health visitor - speech

My little girl is coming up to her 2nd birthday and she’s still babbling a lot. She only says certain words like mum, dad, nan, dog, cat, juice, nice, hello - those are all the words she can say. I’m getting slightly concerned now, me and her dad both were late speaking but her dad had to have his tonsils and gromme...

Milk separated in fridge, is it safe?

I made these bottles up fresh last night and put them in the fridge straight away, but they’ve separated overnight. Is it safe to shake and warm for baby?

First time mamas, let's have an open chat: Honestly, how's motherhood treating you so far ?

I'll go first: confusing and possibly the hardest thing I've done my whole life. However, very rewarding somehow but still struggling to create a bond with my baby somehow ?! It is a very confusing time in my life and it does not feel real. I feel like I'm seeing my life through someone else's lenses if that makes s...

Does baby’s jaw/mouth look concerning? The tech said that he was laying on his hand the whole time so she couldn’t get the pictures she wanted. I’m just concerned about the structure of his mandible etc.

Using monitor

Just curious - online says to always have baby sleep in same room day and night until 6 months. We have a solid bedtime routine and sleep routine but this isn’t until 9pm where we go up to bed with him. Has anyone put baby to bed earlier and used a monitor? My baby is 12 weeks today.

Anyone else feel like the stress of life interferes with enjoying baby/ kids?

I feel bad for feeling like this. I do though. I feel like there's stuff keeping me from enjoying being a mom at all right now and it's sad. Financial stress, being in pain, anxiety keeping me up at night making for a sleepy next day, stress going on with the older child and school. I'm mentally exhausted. And I f...

When did your babies start sleeping longer stretches through the night without any sleep training?

Hello mamas, My babe is 6 weeks old and the longest stretch he has is around 3-4 hours of sleep after his bedtime routine. After that he doesn’t do well with sleeping and will wake up every 2 hours sometimes even less for feeding or he’s gassy so he’s uncomfortable. Plus first stretch is in the bassinet but the nex...

5am wake ups!?

I mustn't complain... My baby has finally started sleeping well. We've had awful sleep since Janaury, and now he goes down about 7.15/7.30ish and tends to sleep through... until 5. But then he's wide awake. We've tried black out blind, shushing, rocking, feeding, bringing him into bed...all to no avail. He can self ...
